What if natural disasters occurred in the Pokémon world?

I mean, yes you have moves like Earthquake and Surf, but those seem more small-scale.

Like, wouldn't those moves be banned worldwide if they caused massive destruction to the area? It would make much more since for them to be localized and on a very small scale compared to the real thing.

What if there was an earthquake— a real, tectonic-plate earthquake— near, let's say, Kanto/Johto. Well, there would be mass chaos and panic. And that's not to mention the massive tsunami that's headed that way.

Or, what about real twisters/hurricanes forming in places such as Unova or Hoenn? As they are natural (not caused by Pokémon) they would leave a lasting impact on the region.

Volcanoes in Alola? Floods in Kalos? Avalanches in Sinnoh?

Do you guys think natural disasters really occur in the Pokémon world? And are they really natural, or caused by a Pokémon?
