Just a short little story I had an idea for, and am now writing on the spot.

"A crazy, horrible random thing that makes absolutely no sense and that I made really quickly because why not?"
(Ugh. Don't hate me for how horrible this is.)
Shauntal sighed and twirled her pen between her fingers, pondering what to write next. She reread her last sentence in her head, trying to come up with the next statement.
"Hm, 'The way he looks at me, makes me feel as if my soul has left my body.'"
Shauntal let out a squeak of surprise and pressed her writings to her chest, her face pink. "Grimsley!" She shouted, eyeing the man who had been reading her work for who-knows-how long.
"Relax, 'Shaun," Grimsley replied cooly, letting his arms drift over the chair. "I only just got here, but your new story looks good so far from what I've seen." He let out a quiet yawn.
Shauntal raised an eyebrow, a small smile forming on her face. "You seem pretty tired. Are you okay?" Are you sure Caitlin isn't influencing you?
"Yeah, I'm fine." He turned his head towards her. "I just had a late night these past few days and haven't managed to have much sleep."
"Oh." Shauntal bit her lip. "Well, I can get up if you like. Then you can rest here?" She grabbed her notes and book as she was speaking, already preparing to leave.
"No, stay." Grimsley pushed her back down onto the chair. "I want to help you with your story."
"Thank you, but no." Shauntal stood back up. "I'll go ask Caitlin or Marshal. . . Or I'll just figure it out myself." Again Grimsley sat her back down.
"Who's the person you're writing about?"
Shauntal's breath caught in her throat. Grimsley knew more than anyone that Shauntal's characters in her stories were based on people she actually knew.
But what would he do if he found out that he was the inspiration for this? Not only that, but he himself was who the passage was about.
"It- it's none of your business," Shauntal told him, holding her book closer.
Grimsley frowned and took out a stack of cards and began shuffling them.
"I never knew you were into dark-types," he commented out of nowhere.
"Huh?" Shauntal looked at him confused.
"Right here." Grimsley reached and opened one of her Poké Balls, sending out a dark purple Sableye. "Sableye's a dark-type Pokémon."
"Yes, I knew that," Shauntal grunted and returned her little goblin quickly. Grimsley took this moment to grab her book and run to the other side of the room.
"Hmmm. . . 'His hair was the color of the night sky. His eyes were like two blue moons. He was like a knight of the night, a hero and a villain hidden in the cover of darkness.'" Shauntal jumped out of her seat and darted towards him.
"Give it back!" she begged.
"Your begging is cute." Grimsley smirked. "But do you really consider me a villain?"
Shauntal's blood ran cold. He knew. He knew.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she managed to say without stuttering.
"Oh, you don't?" He raised an eyebrow. "Well then maybe I chose the wrong side of the coin." He leaned down towards her. "But either way, I want to help you finish your passage."
Blue eyes met brown, and Shauntal could feel her face heating up at how close they were.
Then, in one swift movement, Grimsley hooked her chin up with a finger and planted a kiss on her nose. It was over as soon as it began.
"How was that for inspiration?"
Shauntal was silent, still shocked. Her face was red and she stared up at Grimsley. She didn't even move when he placed her book back into her hand.
"I'll take that as a yes." Grimsley smiled and fixed his suit before walking towards the exit. "Oh, and 'Shaun?" He called at the door. "You should go ahead and add more words like 'brave', 'handsome', 'cunning', and 'risk-taker.'"
Shauntal blinked and turned her head to Grimsley, only to see him wink and turn the corner.
"Grimsley. . ." she muttered, trying to be annoyed. But, she couldn't stay mad at him.
After all, he had given her inspiration, like he promised he would.
"His beautiful, dark hair, the color of the starry night sky. His eyes were like two blue moons trapped eternally in his tricky gaze. He was a knight of the night, moving freely and without care. He was neither a hero nor a villain, abiding to his own rules of winning. He was always covered in darkness, yet shone with such a bright light it was hard to look at him. And when I am able to meet his sight, it is as if my spirit has departed from me, never to be seen again.
"A risk-taker, yes. He would never hesitate to jump in; 'it's all or nothing.'
"He cares about me. I do not know why, he does but. . .
I'm glad I met him.
- Shauntal Shikimi"
Hey, I warned you it would be bad. It's like I didn't even try with this.
Well, anyway sorry for the horrible quality story, but I just really, really wanted to put something like this in this book. I mean, come on! RolandShipping is amazing! (Pretty much every ship is amazing to me... except SpecialShipping— UGH!)
So um... I'll just go now, before I anger more people.
Grimsley x Shauntal is adorable!!
