Gonna give a quick rundown on the anime I watched on 2018 and give them my scores with a quick reason why I gave that score.

Reminder these scores are almost purely based on personal enjoyment and rarely has to do with the actual story or animation

Winter 2018:

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens 8/10
Slow start but gets good the more you watch, it's basically Durarara-lite, Banba and Lin are amazing main characters and the plot in this series is really fun. Dark horse of the year imo

Black Clover (this will be the review for the BC anime this entire year) 7/10
Had hype moments and some amazing fight scenes but still suffered poor art and animation

Darling in the FranXX 6/10
This... this show was really good in the beginning. By the end they fucked it up so badly to the point I would just give the last couple episodes a 1/10 and the first whole of FranXX a 8/10. 8 - 1 is 7 and I'm gonna drop an extra point for wasting my time so overall score is 6.

Killing Bites 5/10
An ecchi show with a lot of questionable faps and really nice production value. Opening by FripSide to boot, and this should be a solid anime... unfortunately it suffers from being seriously unmemorable and I legit forgot I even watched this anime
It's the definition of average

Kokkoku 5/10
Interesting premise, wasted potential, it was an okay ride in the end

Cardfight!! Vanguard G Z 4/10
It what the VG anime does best - shill cards, terrible artwork and an overblown plot. Unfortunately not the best season but it was more interesting then NEXT so it gets an extra two points for that

Citrus 4/10
Disappointed in this. Production was decent, and what it's worth it was actual Yuri... it wasn't very good unfortunately

Yu-gi-oh! VRAINS (this will be the review for the VRAINS anime this entire year) 4/10
Season 2 has been terrible so far

Dagashi Kashi 2 3/10
The sequel to what was a really fun slice of life anime I would give 7/10, but this sequel was really terrible, since episodes were shorter, didn't have Hotaru and was overall just worse then the OG.

Pop Team Epic 1/10
Dropped after two episodes. It wasn't funny to me so that's why the score is so low (plus I dropped it, something I rarely do)

Spring 2018:

My Hero Academia 3 9/10
Of course, it's MHA. Nothing more to say

Shokugeki no Soma 3rd Plate 2nd half 9/10
Cooking hentai is back... yeah I really like this show too, nothing more to say

Tokyo Ghoul:re 6/10
TG is an amazing manga, and this anime adaption didn't suck unlike its predecessor, Root A. Just for that, it gets an extra point. Otherwise, it's just TG anime... so average at best BUT the characters (especially Quinx Squad) were nice and HALF is the best ED from TG don't @ me

Cardfight!! Vanguard (2018) 5/10
Refreshing and it does what VG does best - being a realistic card game show

Devil's Line 1/10
Dropped on the first episode. It was awfully edgy and had terrible character designs and animation

Summer 2018:

Free! Dive to the Future 6/10
It was pretty... otherwise it was average

Yuragi Sou no Yuuna-san 4/10
Good ecchi scenes but dropped because it was boring

Angels of Death 1/10
Dropped because it was boring

Guren no Ou: Vermillion King 1/10
Dropped because it was boring

Autumn 2018:

Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet 9/10
This is one of the best anime in 2018, period. Hilarious and a great cast, I loved every moment of it!

Bunny Girl Senpai 9/10
Another amazing anime this season, with a lovable cast and witty dialogue with strong romance, this was a very well written and intriguing story.

Sword Art Online: Alicization 8/10
Yeah, this new SAO is pretty nice. I was actually excited to watch new episodes and the fight scenes always look amazing

Tokyo Ghoul: re 2nd half 5/10
Somehow more worse and more terribly paced then it's predecessor and the lack of explanation behind so many events just left me unsatisfied especially with the Quinx Squad's ending. Too many new characters that didn't matter and too many times the deaths meant nothing and the ending was just plain silly. It's terribly average at best and I even considered a 4/10 for its poor art and animation but I decided not to since I didn't deduct a point from the first half for that
