The reason why Philip and Alex need to get to mount vernon in a hurry is because the king found out the people were boycotting British products. So he sent redcoats to get anyone involved in the last war or anyone with the boycots (mainly Hamilton, Washington, Philip, Lafayette, Laurens, and Mulligan since they were a big part)

Alex- Survived another disaster, does this thing go any faster?

Washington watches as the two make it to mount vernon. Watched went to the door wondering what they needed.
"Redcoats are heading this way!" Philip says calming down the horse.
"W-what?!?" Washington said grabbing his gun and running out.
"We got to get our soldier's," Alex says and the two nods.
Washington gets onto the horse as Alex gets off. Alex runs right and the two go left.
