Prison Life
Note: So, some of the stories in here were entire books, so when that does happen, I'll put the summary in, too.
What if Ralph hadn't gotten Barry out of jail?
What if Barry hadn't made any friends?
What if he hadn't been busted as a meta?
What if everyone started to believe it?
What if they stopped visiting?
...
Henry sat alone in his cell, praying Sunday would come sooner. He didn't have any 'jail friends', nor any enemies.
He sighed. He was alone, so he decided to make a mark on the wall.
...
Barry sighed. Unlike his father, he still had bullies in jail.
"Ohhhhh Baaarrrrrryyyyy!" someone called.
Barry felt tears enter his eyes.
They never left him alone.
...
His life was pure hell.
He would almost pass out from lack of food, then be punched by a few guys hoping to make permeant marks and shocked when they were gone the next day.
Then they would taunt him all night, keeping him up and terrified.
Not to mention that his family had stopped visiting.
He didn't even care why anymore.
All he knew was that he would do about anything at this point to get out.
...
After another beat down, he sat alone.
He cried to himself.
Then, the bullies came back.
"Ohhhh Allllleeeennnn!" one of them called.
"Pl-please leave me alone!" Barry screamed, and something inside him snapped.
"Ohh. Look! The high prince has been reduced to a begging loser!" someone else crowed, and Barry got up, walked over to him, and smacked him.
The guy looked at him and was about to hit back when Barry caught his hand and punched him again.
He pummeled the guy until he was on the floor, then kicked him so hard he heard a crack that was probably a rib.
Then he spit in his face and turned around.
Everyone else was dead silent.
"Go ahead. Mess with me again. I dare you," he said without turning his head. "And if you tell, then I will not only do it again, but I will tell everyone what a tattle tail you are, and what you did to me."
He walked away, leaving all of them completely shocked.
...
As he sat in his cell the next day after finally getting some good sleep, he lay on his bunk and thought about his family.
Suddenly, the cell door opened, and an officer walked in.
"You're free, Allen," he said. Barry stared at him. "What?" he asked dumbly. "You're free. Someone proved your innocence. Now, out you go."
Barry stood up, and walked with the guard out of his cell door that he had spent over a year in.
He collected his stuff and headed to the door, but one of the guards stopped him. "Someone's here to pick you up," he said. "I can walk," he said. The guard shrugged. "Your choice. Said he was family. Name's Wally. Know him?"
Barry shook his head. "Whoever he is, he's a lier. I don't know a Wally. Anyway, see ya."
The guard (Gary) nodded. "No problem, kid," he said.
When Barry ran home, he wasn't surprised that his stuff was gone.
He felt a tear slide down his cheek.
He loved his home!
And now it was gone.
He wanted to see his family, but he didn't.
One the one hand, they didn't believe him. They thought he was capable of murder!
On the other hand, they were his family...
He didn't know what to do.
...
As Barry sat on the park bench, he decided to weigh his options one more time.
Pros
A place to sleep.
Possibly a job.
Family.
Being The Flash.
Cons
They didn't believe him.
He sighed.
There really was an obvious choice, especially since he didn't have to forgive them.
...
He ran to Joe's house, but instead of going through the front door, he fazed through the house to his old room, where there was still a bed.
He fell asleep rather quickly.
...
"How are we going to track him?" Cisco asked.
"Or get Wally out of jail," Iris added.
Joe sighed. "What are we supposed to do? We left him in there without visiting him for a year. If I were him, I'd never see you guys again."
"Wait! There is a way to track Barry!" Cisco shouted. "I put a tracker in when he was in a coma!"
Iris and Joe stared at Cisco. "Seriously?"
Cisco shrugged. "It worked, didn't it?"
'"Uh... It says that Barry's in this house."
"Well, let's search the house."
It took a while, but they finally searched upstairs.
"Awww," Iris said when she saw it.
Everyone raced over.
Barry lay in his old bed, curled on his side.
"We need to talk to Barry in the morning," Joe said.
Everyone nodded.
"Especially about how Wally ended up in jail."
...
When Barry woke up, he felt eyes on him.
He opened his own immediately and jump out of the bed.
"What?" he asked when he realized who his 'attackers' were.
"Why are you here? And why is Wally in your jail cell?"
To everyone's surprise, Barry burst out laughing.
"Seriously?" he giggled, "They put Wally in my cell?"
"What did you do?" Joe asked.
"I told them I didn't know Wally," Barry gasped, "and I guess they took that as Wally trying to kidnap me."
"Well, if we ignore that, what are you doing here?" Caitlin asked. "Oh! I didn't have anywhere else to go except a park bench. That's what a year in jail gets you," Barry said angrily, his whole demeanor changing immediately.
"Listen, Barry, I'm sorry I didn't believe you. I'll admit it; I thought you did it."
"You're only sorry because I didn't do it. Otherwise, screw me. I totally murdered someone. I can't be the Barry you know and love anymore," Barry growled.
Caitlin nodded. "That's about it," she agreed, "and I wish I could take it back. But I can't. I'm asking for your forgiveness, which I don't deserve."
Barry nodded. "I can't forgive you right now, but I can give you a chance to. All of you," he added, to all of them.
"Except Wally. I just hate that guy."
...
Note: What a sweet ending. ;) Also, sorry not sorry for the Wally hate. I just really don't like him.
Hope you enjoyed!
Coldflash out! ;)
