"No... Jay... it can't be... not again..."

Caitlin fell on her knees, sobbing.

Barry ran toward her, but Cisco put a hand out to stop them.

"Let me," he whispered.

Barry nodded.

He gestured for Joe, Iris, and Harry to leave to give Caitlin and Cisco some privacy.

"Cisco... he can't be dead. Right?"

Cisco sighed.

"Caitlin... you need to know that he's not like Ronnie. He's not gonna come back."

Caitlin felt another wave of tears hit, and Cisco didn't blame her.

"I'm so sorry, Caitlin."

For the next few weeks, Caitlin became cold and distant.

The only person she would even remotely open up to was Cisco.

"Caitlin? We need to talk."

Caitlin shook her head. She wasn't listening to Barry or Harry or whoever had called out unless it was Cisco.

"Come on, Caitlin. I hate seeing you like this."

"Nope."

He sighed.

"Fine, Caitlin."

He walked away, but Caitlin was already ignoring him.

Cisco walked into the MedBay.

"Caitlin, you need to talk to someone."

Caitlin sighed angrily and threw a needle down.

"Why, Cisco? Why should I talk about it? Ronnie died, I almost got past it. Then he came back. Then I married him. Then he died again. I managed to move on. Then I found another guy. I fell in love. Then he died again. He's not coming back. I know that. You know that. All of us know that."

Cisco sighed sadly.

"I know, Caitlin, but talking might help. Before I met Wells, I had a girl. Her name was Sofia. She cheated on me. A few months later, she and her boyfriend were in a car that crashed. She died kissing him. I didn't know if I should feel bad or not. I cried for her. After that, I realized I was over her. But I talked to my friends. They helped me. You need us, Caitlin."

Caitlin looked into his eyes.

Suddenly, she lunged at him and wrapped her arms around him.

He immediately returned the hug, a small smile on his face.

"Thank you, Cisco."

Cisco nodded.

"I'll always be here, Caitlin. Always."
