"I want you to get a girl."

Alex scowled at her sister.

"It's not like I get to make up my mind," she said, rolling her eyes.

Kara laughed.

"Do you want me to check?"

Alex raised an eyebrow.

"You can actually see the gender?"

Kara raised her eyebrows and Alex suddenly realized how she would know that.

"If you're going to do that anyway, then sure."

Kara smirked.

Alex just rolled her eyes.

During the middle of the meeting, Kara squealed.

The lady glared at her, but Alex just laughed.

"I'm assuming it is a girl?" Alex asked as they walked out of the meeting.

Kara nodded excitedly.

"I'm so happy for you!"

Alex smiled.

"I'm so excited. I mean, I've wanted to be a mom for my whole life, but I guess I never really thought it would happen."

Kara shrugged.

"I don't know if I want to have kids, or even if I can."

Alex shrugged.

When the little girl was born, Alex was beyond excited.

She would finally be a mom.

She would take her daughter to the park, let her have ice cream...

Anything she could ever want.

She would protect her, keep her safe.

No one would ever hurt her daughter.
