It was a gloomy day out and a round green monster named Mike Wazowski had just finished training with his Oosma Kappa team and decided to get something to eat.

He was taking in the campus, and he bumped into another monster, and he saw it was one of the Ekk monsters the leader of the fraternity Brynn Larson.

She stood up and looked at Mike.

''Hey Mike, you, ok?'' She asked.

''Yeah, I am sorry I wasn't watching where I was going.'' He said sheepishly.

''It's ok, where are you off to?'' She asked.

''To the cafeteria to get something to eat.'' He said.

''No way, I'm heading there too lets go together.'' She smiles.

''Sure.'' Mike and Brynn walked together.

''So, how are you enjoying the scare games?'' Asked Brynn.

Her team got disqualified in the last game giving with the library one.

''It's alright.'' He said.

''I got to say I didn't think that your group would last but you guys seem to be the underdog.'' She pointed out.

''Yeah, I was skeptical about them too, but they are a great fraternity when you get to know them.''  He said.

They ended up at the mess hall and went in and decided on what to get and once they did, they sat down at one of the benches and started eating it was pretty empty there.

''I will say you did great Brynn you and your group. You gave all of us a run for our money.'' He smiled.

''Thanks. How can you be so calm?'' She asked.

''What do you mean?'' Asked Mike looking at the pretty female monster.

''I mean you got laughed at during scaring class and even Dean Hardscrabble mocked you in her own way and you just take it. Most monsters would just give up or slink into the shadows.'' She said as she took a bite of her monster taco.

''I mean yeah, I hear the comments and jokes, and nobody takes me seriously as a scarer but the best thing to do is prove them wrong, I know more about scaring them most of the students here and just because I'm not ''scary'' as they say I'm just as much a scarer as Sully or Johnny.'' Mike replied firmly.

''I wish I had your confidents. But for what it's worth I hope you and Oosma Kappa wins; it would be nice to see someone else beat Roar Omega Roar.'' She giggles.

''Well, that's the plan.'' Mike smiled.

''So, tell me a bit about yourself Mike where did you come from and your family.'' She asked.

''Well, I live in Monstopolis with my mom and dad, I've always been a A+ student and most never wanted to be partners with me in class because I was small and green. I usually got overlooked by the teachers and I had to stand on my desk to be seen.'' He said.

''Woah, sounds rough. I can imagine that it's tough when no one wants to be friends with you.'' Brynn replied.

Mike looked at her. ''Not you, you're a beautiful monster, I can't imagine schoolmates not wanting to be partners with you. It's girls who are like you that always turned me down.'' He said curious as he finished his burrito.

''Believe it or not a lot of monsters didn't want to be partnered up with me because I had braces, and they thought I was one of the mean girls and nobody back in my town likes mean girls.'' She replied.

''That's on them. I don't see you as that.'' Mike said as his hand landed on top of hers.

''Well, I mean they never got a chance to know me and the ones that did moved away so I was back to being myself but now here I'm in a fraternity and I got friends that like me for me.'' She said.

''And your one of the most popular monsters on campus.'' He pointed out.

''Really?'' She asked.

''Yeah, I hear monster talk about you.'' He said.

''Hm good to know.'' She smiles as they finished eating.

They then made their way back to their respective houses, but they stopped at the EEKS house and Mike was surprised to see they were holding hands.

''Thanks Mike this was fun we should do it again.'' She replied.

''Yeah, we should. Wait would this be considered a date?'' He asked.

''Yeah, an unofficial date, how about after the next scare game we can go out again.'' She suggested.

''Sure, sounds great!'' He smiles.

She leans over and kisses him on the forehead and went inside giggling.

Mike jumped up and down and he ran back to his house he couldn't wait to tell the others.
