My Lonely Stride.
Above the earth, and more than skin.
You were rebirth, shaped to my kin.
Twas disservice to us both.
I hope for your ascent, and you clung to ground.
I hoped to resent, and bring my fury round.
But you've earned nothing. Not hatred, love, or pity.
I am my star, you a withered effigy.
I shall fly far, and confine you to memory.
No longer shall I look for you.
No longer will you gnaw my heart.
No longer will I yearn for your love.
No longer will you chain me to your ground.
By my labor are you cast aside.
And by my labor, I have found my stride.
I walk alone, but freely so.
