My Jessica Jones Review

Hello!

I sort of want to do a review for the Marvel Netflix TV show Jessica Jones. Just sort of giving my opinion on the show. This will obviously contain spoilers from all 13 episodes. Let's Begin!!

Characters

Jessica Jones

I was very excited to see Jessica portrayed on TV and at the time, I was reading the Alias Comics and had a few actresses I could see playing this role. I never heard of Krysten Ritter except for Breaking Bad and Don't Trust The B In Apartment 23, so I was hoping she would give the role a close comparison to the comics. Krysten blew me away with her portrayal of Jessica and I always enjoyed every minute of watching Krysten show what type of person Jessica was. She also is a great actress and I am a massive fan of her work.

Kilgrave/Kevin Thompson

Kilgrave was one character I thought would be a tough character to bring to life on the screen and the writers did phenomenal job bringing him to the screen. I was bit bummed that he wasn't the exact Purple Man, like in the comics but I've grown to like the TV Version of Kilgrave. I have always been a massive David Tennant fan and I had never really seen him portray a villain but he nailed this role.

Trish Walker

I had never heard of Trish Walker before I watched the show and she was not in the comics but I enjoyed seeing Rachael Taylor do this role. I later found out that Trish Walker had her own comic series and I am still looking for those comics at the library and local comic book store.  But, I really enjoyed Trish Walker.

Luke Cage

I loved Luke Cage in the Alias Comics and I loved his individual show. (If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it for you) This was the first introduction to Luke Cage and I loved Mike Colter's portrayal of "Power Man" and I think he is just an all around amazing character throughout the whole show.

Story

The story of Jessica Jones kept me really interested of watching the show and I binged the show for two or three days. I was a bit bummed that they didn't follow the comics plot but some of the cases Jessica does during the show are rather similar to the ones in the Alias comics. I wasn't all happy about episode 13 because I feel like instead of killing off Kilgrave, they could have sent him off to some sort of prison or put him in some sort of medical coma with that drug that affected his abilities.

Opening Title

Any Marvel Netflix opening title has been amazing so far, So I had no complaints about the title and I find the theme song rather catchy myself.

I know its a short review but I wanted to give a small one. Hopefully you guys didn't mind me doing this.
