Amy Winehouse has forever been one of my all-time favorite singers and she passed away six years ago. She died on July 23, 2011 and I can vividly remember that day because it was all over the news that Amy Winehouse had died. I was nine years old and I never listened to her music but from what I saw from the tabloids and magazines at the stores, she seemed like a trainwreck or another celebrity who just lost their way in fame. I was with my grandma and grandpa when this happened and my grandma was shocked she had died so young. Only 27 years old.

But when I got older, I started to listen to Amy's music and was unaware that Amy was the woman who died only at 27. So, I became an Amy fan and started to do some research about her to see if she would drop a new album soon or if she had some sort of social media. Only to find that she only had three albums and that she had passed away on July 23, 2011. I went through the news reports from that day and recognized one from that day when I was nine. It slowly came back and I was upset that I would never get to hear any new music from Amy but that fans would be able to carry on her legacy.

Amy's music will always hold a dear place in my heart and so will everything that she has brought to this amazing world.

May you rest in peace Amy. We love and miss you.
