I stare down at my lunch as my friends keep rambling on and on.

"Hey Alex, what do you think", I hear Rose ask me.

"About what?"

"The new principal", Lily, Rose's twin, says

"He's alright I guess", I shrug not really caring.

This is how lunch normally went. I would keep to myself and they would talk to everyone else. It was simple.

We have Social Studies after lunch so as usual we go straight to our seats in the corner of the room. The teacher is always late so I just sit and think. I know what you're thinking. What is there to think about? Well, for me there is ALWAYS something. How my brother is doing in his class. What our job tonight is going to be. If Toby and Angel are ok at their school.

When am I going to lose it?

I know, I know. Weird things to think, right? Well I'm just that. Weird. We don't know why or how but there are some people who walk around with...abilities of a sort.

I'm an Elemental and my older brother, Jacob, is a Reader. While I can control the basic elements such as water, fire, air, and earth, my brother can read and project his voice into other people's minds. Angel is my best friend but she is also a Summoner, someone who can summon animals to help them fight. Toby however is a Weilder, a person who can wield blades without any practice whatsoever and summon blades out of nowhere.

I look up as my teacher finally walks into the classroom. As she's turning out the lights she says," Today we won't be doing any book work and instead we're going to watch a short video on the Revolutionary War."

Half way through the video the fight scenes start. I can't help but watch and study the movements of the actor. I feel my pulse quickening and my palms become sweaty. I know what's happening and I don't want it to happen again.

Another panic attack and Jake is going to make me stay home tonight

I quickly get up from my seat and walk over to my teacher asking if I can go to the restroom. Of course she says yes. I grab a hall pass and make my way to the girls bathroom down the hall. As I walk I can feel myself panicking more and more.

I make the sharp turn into the bathroom and rush to fill the sink with water. As soon as the water hit the edge of the sink I stick my hands in and immediately relax. After about ten minutes soaking my hands I finally go back to class and sit down as if nothing ever happened.

I walk into my last period of the day. Science.

Science is my favorite subject, but sadly it's my last class of the day. Best for last right? I sigh as I take my seat and prepare to take notes.

"Alright class let's get going and turn your attention to the board", Mr. Adam says.

We all start writing, staying completely quiet as we take our notes. I look up and notice some of the kids aren't even trying to pretend to write anymore. Sucks for them when they aren't prepared tomorrow.

I hear the door open and everyone turns to look and see who came in. He walks over to Mr. Adam and says something I can't make out.

Mr. Adam nods and looks at me."Alex, you're checking out."

Crap. Might as well play it cool.

I stand up, pack up my stuff, and walk over to the man. Smiling playfully I ask," What's the password?"

He looks at me and says," There isn't one."

I kick the back of his knees and pin him to the ground. "Wrong answer."

Jake you might want to get down here!

As I'm sending the message the man slips out of my hold and pins me against the wall by my throat. I glare at him as I grab at his hands. Finally giving up I take his hands in mine and use my fire, the scent of burning flesh filling the air as he screams and let's go.

My brother bursts through the door and throws my suit at me. I grin and grab it surrounding myself in a column of fire so I can change. My suit is a leathery, black suit that is element resistant so I can use my powers without burning my clothes off.

When I'm done I extinguish the flames and grab the writhing man on the floor, punching him out cold.

Jake looks at me and says," Another one? Alex, it's like you're a magnet!"

I grin at him. Maybe I am.

He smirks at me and nods at the man.

I know I'll deal with him. Can you deal with the class?

He nods again and gets to work erasing the shocked class's memory of everything that happened in this room. As he's doing that, I'm dragging the man out to the car and tying him up with rope and sitting him in the backseat. I get in the front seat to wait for Jake. He should have messaged Toby and Angel to meet up already so I just lay back.

Well this will be interesting.
