So every year, my school does a children's play. That's the only play I actually get cast in, but it's a lot of fun.

This year, it's my mom's favorite Disney movie, the tale as old as Stockholm Syndrome, Beauty and the Beast.

Apparently, my friends are idiots when it cones to Disney and because I am the theater Disney addict, these are the usual conversations that occur:

Mary and Addison: *talking about lines and auditions*

Me: *eating lunch*

Mary: Hey Emma, who's Babette?

Me: The featherduster.

Addison: There's a featherduster in Beauty and The Beast?

Me: Yeah. She's the character that wants to do the do with Lumiere.

Addison: OH! THAT CHARACTER!

Me: Yeah. That character.

*a couple minutes pass*

Addison: Hey Emma?

Me: Yeah?

Addison: Who's *pronounces badly* Madame de la Grande Bouche?

Me: A, she's the wardrobe, and B, her last name is pronounced Grande Bouche.

Mary: That sounds French...

Me: OF COURSE IT SOUNDS FRENCH! THE STORY TAKES PLACE IN FRANCE!

Mary: Then how do you know how it's pronounced?

Me: ... Because I take French.

Mary: Okay Smart Ass, then what does it mean?

Me: Big Mouth. Grande means big and bouche means mouth. Put them together and it means "big mouth".

Mary: Okay...

*a couple more minutes pass*

Mary: Emma?

Me: What now!?

Mary: Who's Le Fou?

Me: ... You're joking, right?

Addison: No, seriously. Who's Le Fou.

Me: *whispers* I'm surrounded by idiots.

Addison: What was that?

Me: Nothing.

Mary: Can you answer my question now?

Me: Fine. Le Fou is Gaston's weird little sidekick that's gay.

Addison: *tilts head* Who?

Me: That small weird guy who sings Gaston.

Mary: Wouldn't Gaston sing Gaston? He seems like the guy to do that...

Me: *seething in anger* THE GUY JOSH GAD PLAYS IN THE NEW VERSION!

Addison: OH! HIM!

Me: YES! HIM! CAN I FINISH EATING MY LUNCH NOW!?

Mary: Fine. God, no need to complain.

These are how conversations usually go between me and my friends. God save me.
