Okay, so, has anyone heard of Sword Art Online?

If you have, yay!!!!!!!

If you haven't, shame on you because you need to watch it!!!! Seriously!!! It's my new obsession!!! I've been trying to figure out what character is my favorite between Asuna, Silica, Leefa/Sugu, Yui, Sinon/Asada, or Kirito/Kazuto Kirigaya!!! In case you didn't figure it yet, this is an anime and those names are Japanese.

Sword Art Online is basically an anime about this people who get trapped in a video game for two years. It's mainly about Kirito/Kazuto Kirigaya and his girlfriend, Asuna. The reason why some of them have the slash is because it's their avatar name (for example, Kirito, Sinon, and Leefa) followed by they're real name (respectively Kazuto Kirigaya, Asada, and Sugu). Others, like Silica, Asuna, and Yui, only have one name (that we know of) or they share their name with their avatar (for example, Asuna because her full name is  Asuna Yuuki).

So the reason I'm bringing this up is because I decided to make a Sword Art Online AU for Miraculous Ladybug, and here are the characters I have in mind+ my reasoning. Also, I use the terms 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, and 2C to signify the change in the theme songs into the different "sub seasons" as I call them.

Kirito/Kazuto Kirigaya: Cat Noir/Adrien Agreste in seasons 1A, 2A, 2B, and 2C while in game. Ladybug/Marinette Dupain-Cheng in season 1B

Reasoning (Adrien): Bryce Pappenbrooke {idk how to spell his last name} voices Kirito in the English dub and Adrien in the English dub of Miraculous Ladybug. Also, I personally think that Adrien is an underrated character so I want him to have a lot of time in the limelight in this story.

Reasoning (Marinette): I have one part of the story where Marinette and Adrien will switch roles so Marinette has to be the Kirito.

Asuna: Ladybug/Marinette Dupain-Cheng in seasons 1A, 2A, 2B, and 2C in game. Adrien Agreste in seasons 1B and 2C out of game.

Reasoning (Marinette): Asuna is the main female lead in the show and I still want Marinette in a role where she can A, still be shipped with Adrien because Asuna is Kirito's girlfriend in the show and B, Marinette is the main character in Miraculous Ladybug and I don't want to make her be a simple background character.

Reasoning (Adrien): Asuna is a rich girl who spends most of season in a coma. She doesn't exactly get along with her mother. Does that sound familiar???? (At least the bad parental relationships?) Anyway, I also want Marinette in the limelight a little bit too, so Adrien gets to be in a coma. (Sorry Adrien...)

Sugu/Leefa: Nathanael

Reasoning: Sugu is Kirito's cousin. She also has a crush on Kirito, even though they're related. Nathanael has a crush on Marinette. So there.

Akihito Kayaba: Mama Agreste

Reasoning: Not much is known about the creator of Sword Art Online, Akihito Kayaba, and not much is known about Mama Agreste.

Heathcliff: Hawk Moth

Reasoning: Heathcliff is really Akihito Kayaba's character in Sword Art Online and is the final boss of the game, just like Hawk Moth will probably be the "final boss" for Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Lizbeth: Alya

Reasoning: Lizbeth is Asuna's best friend.

Klein: Nino

Reasoning: Klein is Kirito's best friend.

Silica: Rose

Reasoning: Silica is basically the Rose of the SAO universe. She's super innocent and won't let Kirito (or anyone for that matter) see her underwear if she ever goes upside down.

Pina (dragon): Juleka

Reasoning: Pina is Silica's best friend.

Egil: Mylène.

Reasoning: I have none.

Kuradeel: Sabrina

Reasoning: Again, I have none.

Yolko: Alix

Reasoning: None

Caynz: Kim

Reasoning: None

Yui: Plagg and Tikki

Reasoning: Yui is an AI that Kirito and Asuna found on floor 22 without any memories. She's only seen in two episodes in season 1A, but she helps Kirito find Asuna while he's in another game that she's trapped in, Alfheim Online, or ALO. Plagg and Tikki are basically guides for Marinette and Adrien, so I put them both as Yui. I couldn't decide which one I really wanted to be Yui, so I'm working off of the Yin and Yang concept thing from Miraculous Ladybug into the show.

Sugho: Chloé

Reasoning: Sugho traps Asuna, along with 299 other people, in Alfheim Online after SAO eventually gets cleared. He also assaults Asuna by ripping off her clothes and revealing her breasts to the whole world (may have Chloé do that to Marinette, may not. I'm still iffy about that. Also, I know what some might be thinking: I AM NOT A PERVERT! JUST TRYING TO BE FACTUAL TO WHAT THIS AU WOULD BE BASED OFF OF)

Sinon: Lila

Reasoning: I know that Lila isn't exactly a "likeable" character, but neither was Sinon in the beginning. At least, she wasn't to me. Then I found out why she was the way she was and I learned to like her. I want to try to make Lila a little more likeable since I think she's gonna return in Season 2 of Miraculous Ladybug.

Yuuki: Bridgette

Reasoning: Yuuki is a girl who is diagnosed with AIDS since birth and is super close to dying. She keeps calling Asuna "Sis" or "Sister" so this is just my way of tying in that Bridgette was gonna be Marinette in the anime. In fact, in the SAO, when Kirito is talking about his dual wielding skill, he says "If she (Yuuki) was in SAO when we were she would've gotten the dual wield ability instead of me."

That's all I got right now, so yeah.
