I officially have problems. So my mom, who got me into Perch Jackson, said that Percy is the one to kill Kronos with his magic sword, Riptide.

One problem, this does happen, but it happens IN THE MOVIES!!!!!

For those of you who don't know the first Great Prophecy, here it is.

A halfblood of the eldest gods,
Shall reach 16 against all odds,
And see the world in endless sleep,
The hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap,
A single choice to end his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze

If you're going by the movies, it's the same prophecy, just change 16 with 20.

So we're watching Sea of Monsters, and my mom points to the screen and says "That's proof that whatever the name of Percy's sword is kills Kronos!"

Is it? Is it really? So I countered with "It's called Riptide, and in the movies, it does kill Kronos. But in the books, Annabeth's knife is given to Luke who killed Kronos while he was inhabiting his body."

"You're lying."

And because if that, I did what any sane person would do and looked up what the lines of the prophecy meant. And lo and behold, this was there:

I read that out loud to my mom and she told me to shut up because she was watching the movie.

Sorry, I just had to rant about that...
