SO MY BEST FRIEND IS HAVING A QUINCEAÑERA AND SHE'S PICKING OUT HER DRESS, AND I'M LITERALLY SO EXCITED FOR HER-

Uh, if you don't know what a quinceañera is it's like a sweet sixteen but for Spanish and Latin American girls, and at the age of fifteen instead of sixteen.

It's a beautiful ceremony that includes a father-daughter dance, chambelans/damas (a friend group similar to a bride's wedding party), a toast from the birthday girl, a seated dinner, and the change of slippers, when the dad (or any male figure) changes the flats to heels to show the transition from girl to woman.

And also you get to wear a really pretty and poofy dress-
