Chains

The rustle of dry, old tree leaves under someones feet and the sound of foot steps and the heavy panting of a certain hybrid filled the air around him, his breath turning into puffs of air from the cold night atmosphere. He wished he could take one break but he knew he would get caught. He swerved through the tree trunks and jumped over fallen logs with his tail trailing behind him, desperate to get away. His multicolored eyes taking a quick glance behind him before turning to slits, alarmed. He picked up his pace, soon getting a small lead on the group of people.

You see, Ranboo was on the run from some people; particularly the people from his village. They had found out that the teenage boy was a enderman hybrid. The boy did his best at hiding his secret but to no avail. They had found out just moments ago and they had stormed his house, pitch forks and torches in hand. They burnt down his house with the boy inside but he was able to crawl out a window and run into the forest behind his house. The flames danced across the dark scenery, yellow, orange and red getting reflected onto the trees and mixing with the moonlight; creating a canvas of different colours, making the world seem almost like a cartoon.

But the people still persisted, they had been chasing the enderman hybrid for half an hour now, screaming that he couldn't get away and that they would get his blood eventually. Yeah, you heard him, blood. Enderman blood was used in potions to create powerful resistance to every form of damage in the world, it only lasted a small while before the effects wore off but it was still a good deal for the results. You were basically invincible when you drank the potion. But it was really hard to obtain the blood of an enderman as no one had ever been to catch an enderman because of their teleportation abilities.

Ranboo heard the yells and foot steps of the village people draw closer to him, he tried running faster but the sounds kept getting closer, scaring the poor boy.

The teenager got on all fours, yes he could do that despite being an enderman hybrid, and sprinted further ahead, his tail dragging limply behind him, desperately trying to tire out the people behind him.

He really didn't want to hurt the people that were chasing him despite knowing they wanted to kill him. The boy could fight if he needed to but had always tried to stay away from conflict knowing it would only make matters worse.

The teen ran for what seemed like days, his sprinting soon turning into a fast jog. He kept weaving through the thick brush, his breathing heavy and his movements jagged.

The boy came into a clearing in the forest, his path being blocked by a wall of thick trees. He whimpered lightly to himself, urgently pacing up and down the tree line in hopes of finding a way out.

"Well well well...... the beast is cornered, how pitiful," a voice spat, those words made the poor boy freeze. He hesitantly looked to the group of people blocking possible the only exit. He stood up slowly, his large figure getting illuminated by the moonlight, creating a faded outline of the tall and slightly muscular teen, his shadow being projected onto the long grass.

Ranboo looked over the group of villages, fear written all over his face and stance. He looked down at the villagers hands, eyes widening in disbelief. They held chains.

Ranboo slowly backed up, slowly going back on all fours, the villagers creeping forward, malicious intent evident in all their eyes.

Ranboo looked at all the men and women in fright, all of them slowly surrounding the boy. He let out a low, threatening growl, baring his teeth in an attempt to scare away the people; but they didn't even flinch.

The boys eyes flicked around the area, searching for a way out. He couldn't find a way out except for up or the way he came. He quickly weighed his odds of escape, swiftly coming to the conclusion of a little chance of escape.

The boy glowered at the people cornering him, eyeing them all cautiously before letting out a roar, pouncing over a small group of people before running to the exit.

He didn't get far as he was quickly caught in chains, his left arm getting trapped in said chains. Ranboo let out a roar of frustration, pulling on the chain and continued running, hoping to get out.

More chains made their way onto the hybrid, slowing him down with each strip of metal. Yells of communiction and distress filled the air, the clanking of metal mixed with it. The men and women continued to chuck chains over the hybrids back, strapping him down to the ground. Roars of pain and anger ringing through the air.

Ranboo continued to struggle, occasionally lifting chains off of him to only get replaced by another three sets of chains. This repeated for a while before the enderman hybrid grew tired, eventually settling down on the soft grass, his eyes glaring daggers at the people holding him down, his glare only hardening when a man stepped infront of him, a cocky grin on the mans lips.

"How pathetic, the beast is tired. I expected more of a fight from something such as yourself" the man stated, his grin only growing in size.

Ranboo huffed in annoyance, his breath slowly creeping up into the air. He didn't bother speak, knowing he would most likely be battered with insults from the surrounding people.

"No response? How sad, I expected some sort of retaliation from you knowing how much you talked when you first arrived...." the man trailed off, holding his chin in thought. The man walked around the head of the hybrid, annoying the boy with his continuous banter.

Ranboo growled to himself, his tail flicking in annoyance, mustering up the energy to let out another roar, hoping his attempt would attract some wanted attention.

Ranboo put his hands firmly on the ground and got on his knees. He pushed himself up with as much force as he could, making the people holding him down fumble with the chains. He looked up towards the sky and let out the loudest roar he could physically produce, his sharp teeth being put on display, the roar lasted a couple seconds before stopping and dropping to the ground tired. The roar grabbed some attention, the people immediately rushing towards the sound.

You could hear the roar echo throughout the forest, lasting about a minute before silence fell upon the village of people.

Nobody dared speak, they were all surprised at the volume at which the hybrid had produced. They stayed like that for a while, no one moving or talking.

They were interrupted by the sound of an arrow being shot and the piercing of flesh. Ranboo perked up at the sound, his ears standing up in alert. He looked to the man infront of him to see an arrow through his chest, blood dripping from the tip of the arrow, the man collapsed on the ground, dead. He immediately regained all his energy back through the lasting adrenaline, ready to run from these new mysterious people.

The village people looked up in alarm, frantically scanning the tree line for where the arrow had come from, yelling to eachother in hopes of finding the source of the arrows owner, they had completely forgot about the hybrid they were previously holding down.

Ranboo saw this opportunity to escape and took it. He stood up with as much power as he could, shaking off the chains and breaking any that lingered around his joints. The people tried to tie the enderman hybrid back down but it was no use, he continued to thrash around and bolted the second all the chains were off his body.

He ran back through the way he came, ignoring the screams of pain and terror behind him. The teen didn't want to look back because he could hear the splatter of blood and guts behind him. This only made the boy run faster, zigzagging through the trees, trying to get as far away as he could from the massacre.

He ran through the thick brush of the forest, the dim light of the night doing nothing but be a nuisance, coming into territory he didn't recognise. He eventually started to slow down, coming to a halt at the base of a large tree. He hunched over, his hands on his knees, his eyes illuminating the dark infront of him, the silence being filled with the soft but heavy pants of the hybrid. He took a seat at the base of the tree, a heavy hand on his chest.

He took a minute to catch his breath, his heart beat slowing down and the exhaustion setting in. He looked down at his clothes, them being illuminated by the faint glow of his eyes and the moonlight, a frustrated groan quickly leaving his mouth. His clothes were destroyed, there were multiple rips and tears from when his clothes would get caught on the branches of the forest, purple blood oozing from a few cuts the sharp branches had left but they quickly got healed as his body had started to product small clusters of purple particles to heal the small cuts. The particles did their job efficiently and disbanded into nothing, leaving the hybrid uninjured. There were also a few burns on his clothes, probably from his house burning down but he didn't pay too much mind to them.

He took of his white shirt, revealing his chest, he checked for any minor injuries that the particles missed but was met with a clear torso. He sighed, relieved before disregarding his now ruined shirt and sitting against the tree. He sat still for a while, enjoying the sounds of nature before getting rudely interrupted by a big rustle from some nearby trees.

Ranboo immediately snapped his neck in the direction of the noise, alert and ready to fight or run.

He was instead greeted with the figure of a man with large, grey wings, fluttering towards him. The teen backed away from the individual, scrambling to get up and face the man, his tail swishing behind him threateningly. The man didn't seem fazed by Ranboos aggressive behaviour.

The man spoke,"hello, apologies for the sudden appearance. Me and my friends were walking by and we heard a lot of shrieking and shuffling and when we turned up you were tied to the ground with chains. I was just checking to see if you were alright as the sounds you were giving off sounded like you were in pain." The man asked, concern on his face.

Ranboo was taken a back by the concern this stranger held despite only knowing of his existence a few minutes ago.

Ranboo clears his throat, "y-ya, I'm fine. Just a few cuts and a bit shaken up but I'm alright otherwise. I'm assuming you and or your friends were the one that killed the man?" Ranboo asked, voice dry and raspy from the shrieking and lack in talking, as well as the over use of his voice. His tail slowly coming to a stop behind him to show he was, somewhat, relaxed.

"That's good to hear, glad to hear you can talk and are uninjured. By any chance, are you possibly an enderman hybrid?" The mystery man asked, looking at the tall boy.

"Y-ya?" The teen stuttered, hesitancy clear in the boys voice.

"Alright, you're probably going to be getting chased around by villagers for your blood, do you possibly want to come with me to someplace safe? This probably sounds really sketchy considering we just met, like, five-ten minutes ago" the man muttered, scratching his neck nervously.

Ranboo hesitated for a moment, scanning the man of any malicious intent or purpose, quickly coming to the conclusion that the man didn't want to hurt him.

"I-I suppose it's better than being out here and on the run..." Ranboo sputtered, looking at the winged man.

"That's wonderful, if you wouldn't mind following me, you don't have to stand next to me or anything, just try and keep a similar pace to me" the man remarked, slowly trudging towards the clearing in which they had previously come from.

Ranboo jogged to catch up with the man, standing next to him, seemingly towering over him.

"U-um I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking." Ranboo stated, looking at the shorter older man.

"Ask away," the man replied, unfazed by the question and height difference.

"One: should I be worried about your friends hurting me and two: what's your name and where are we going?: Ranboo asked, talking slowly.

"I can assure you that my friends won't hurt you, I won't let them. My name is Phil and we are heading to a place called the Dream Smp!" 'Phil' exclaimed, looking up at the taller hybrid.

"What about you? What's your name?" Phil questioned, still looking at the tall boy.

"My names, Ranboo, pleasure to meet you," Ranboo chuckled, looking down at the man.

"The pleasures all mine"
