~Chapter 14~
You panted heavily, collapsed to the ground as you clutched your shirt tightly. Your heart was racing, like it was trying to break your rib cage and escape. Your mismatches eyes were wide open as you stared at the ground, mind swollen with confusion. "That monster... Error who was that monster?" You asked, looking upward.
As your head swiveled you couldn't post the monstrosity and you fell on to your behind, curling against your knees. "I need to know... who was that? Who..."
"C-Child?" A gentle voice stuttered. Your eyes snapped upward, full of tears you didn't know had shown up. You looked at the monster Error had just kidnapped and shook your head.
"What?" You said coldly, trying to mask yourself.
"I'm sorry but, why am I here? Why have you taken me from my garden? Without me no life can flourish in the vast universes! I need to leave this place immediately!" She yelled, seemingly out of character.
"And that'll be just what you won't do." Error said, stepping through a rift with Raspberry in tow. He looked beaten and defeated, eyes numb of emotion.
"Raspberry!" You cried. "Error what did you do?!"
He looked at you, a scowl firm on his expression. "Quiet P-Puppet! Or you'll be n-next."
Your brows knit as you looked at him. His speech had become more clear. His glitch was more tame as he paced in front of you, first throwing Raspberry between you. You acted quickly, throwing a cushy blanket beneath him before he landed. Having magical threads at your dispense was useful. You glared at him, standing shakily.
"Error explain to me what you're planning. What was she talking about? Who is she?" You barked, hungry for any answer you could get.
His gaze snapped towards you, growling as he approached you. "W-Who told you to s-s-speak you pawn-n."
His words were cold and meticulous. After the job he seemed instantly more maniacal. Still, you stood your ground and looked up at him. "Tell me what you're doing or I won't bother helping you."
"A-And loose your last chance to remember?" He threatened.
"I can make new memories." You hissed.
He growled and stepped back, knowing you truly had nothing to loose. His blackened hand pointed towards the monster you'd just taken and he began to explain. "That is L-Life. She creates the life force-ce in every soul. B-But she can't do that here. The antivoid prevents the creation of life." His mouth curled horridly, insanity infecting his grin. "And with no life to be created, their will only be chaos."
He waved a hand, windows appearing all around into a million different worlds. "Each and every one will crumble slowly. Here I will take a specimen from each one and watch as their communities decompose. Nothing will be left in the dust for history to know. I will destroy AU after AU until every glitch is wiped from existence!"
You shook slightly, blinking rapidly. "You're planning to wipe out entire universe?! Hundreds of them?!" You gawked. "Y-You can't! People are living there! What about the monsters and-"
"They're all just g-glitches!" He snapped, silencing you. "And you will help me e-eradicate them."
"I won't!" You yelled.
His hand snapped forward, blue threads entangling you thoroughly. It knotted thickly at your neck, cutting you from oxygen. You wheezed, clawing at the strings.
"You are my Puppet! My tool! Don't s-speak b-back to me!" He bellowed, threads cutting into your throat more and more.
You wanted to fight, but your strings were useless. All you could do with them was create things. Tapestries and blankets, clothes or slippers. You didn't know how to weaponize them.
Dark crept in from the corners of your vision and you became incredibly dizzy. Your hearing was almost numb as slowly white noise replaced your sense of hearing. It felt fuzzy now. The last thing you remember seeing was a blur of color and Error was taken off his feet.
Ink?!
Your heart leapt as you dropped to the ground. Your head didn't hit the ground, instead hitting soft, cream colored fabric. Then Error disappeared as you gasped for breath. Your heart was rapid with adrenaline and you looked around hungrily, the first word tumbling from your lips being, "Ink?!" You cried.
Your throat felt soar as you coughed, looking above you to see a soft, welcoming smile. "Sh, don't worry. You're fine..."
"Ink..." you muttered. "Are you..."
You blinked a few times and blur gave way to clarity, your heart sinking. Life frowned sadly as she held your head. "I'm sorry child. I am not Ink."
"Oh...." You sighed, sitting up. Your hand gently probed your throat, making you wince.
Life's eyes held pity as she looked at you. "I understand now." She said quietly. "You're role in this place."
You remained silent, curling your knees beneath your and holding your bruised neck.
"You didn't choose to be here, did you my child?" She asked.
You shrugged. Standing, you moved to Raspberry's unconscious body. "Do you think he'll wake up soon?" You asked.
"Child please. I'd like to know whether or not I can trust you." Life begged.
You laughed in a raw tone. You lifted your hands, weaving a mattress of red threads beneath your damaged friend. "I don't know if you can trust me or not." You faked a smile. "I don't even remember my own past. I could be a complete and utter asshole who stumbled into a portal and into a vat of magic. I could be one of his victims that was especially troubling so he erased me. I could just be something he just created. Your guess is as good as mine."
Life watched you intently as your strings snaking past one another expertly. "You seem to be too kind to be any creation of his." She offered.
You chuckled. "Ain't that a thought."
Life was quiet as you yank your threads free and sat. You could feel her eyes scanning you curiously. She seemed upset. You met her gaze and sighed. "I'm sorry if I disturb you. I can leave if you'd like."
She shook her head rapidly and moved closer. "No! I'm not bothered by you! It's just I'm confused. I remember making you. You weren't corrupted with that when you were created." She motioned to the blackened half of your skin and discolored eye.
Your heart was stuck in your throat as your eyes flew wide open. "I-I wasn't always like this?!" You asked. "I was born normal!"
Life nodded. "Yes. This glitch on your skin had to have been inflicted. By Error is my best guess."
Tears slid down your face. "I knew it." Grabbing her hands, you looked at her excitedly. "Please tell me more! Where did I come from?! Who are they people I remember?!" You asked.
She smiled gingerly, as though this was what this was what she was hoping for.

"Damn him! Damn it all! I knew he was crazy but I didn't know he'd go this far!" I hissed, pacing back and forth in Swap's living room.
Images of (Y/N) were now fresh in my mind and I realized what blueberry meant. She didn't know who I was, but there was vague recognition in her eyes. I was sure now. Error had wiped her memories so that corrupting her would be easy. Error transferred his own magic to her so she would be easily manipulated. The only thing was that only half of her body was glitched. She was still present. (Y/N) was still conscious enough to fight against him. There was still hope!
"Uh, Ink? Are you gonna explain to us what happened with (Y/N)? You'v been mumbling about her for an hour now. What happened?" Chara asked, sitting on the couch and watching me.
Beside her sat a silent and depressed looking Blueberry. Papyrus stood against the wall cradling a cigarette. I stopped, facing them all. Smiling, I looked over them. "I figured out what happened to (Y/N). And even better, Error just made a huge mistake."
Papyrus raised a brow and Chara leaned forward. I turned, pulling out my paintbrush and painting midair. "Yesterday Error kidnapped the god Life. This is the version of Toriel that creates all known life."
"How is that a good thing?" Chara asked.
"Well," I started. "Intially it's not a good thing. In the anti-void magic is nullified so she can't create life. All AUs will enter a state where no life can renew or be made. That's chaos. However, it will create a great concentration of magic in order to cancel out her abilities."
Drawing a diagram, I faced them. "Life already has a huge anti-field over him. But adding in the magic it takes to hide (Y/N)'s abilities and any other people he kidnaps it'll be a magnet. I'll be able to pinpoint their location in the antivoid."
"So the moment Error slips up and leaves a rift open..." Chara started.
"We have a map directly to (Y/N) and the others." I nodded.
