Hiccup's POV

I'm sooo boooored!

I slept through the day, and now I'm wide awake! The sky was soooo sooo promising, so beautiful, so perfect, and I can't go outside! Toothless was nice, it's an unusual adverb to discribe him, he haven't mentioned it's my fault he is stuck to the ground. More or less... but he still refused to fly without me and it's worries me. I know how much it means to every dragon.

- Hey bud, shall we go out?

*Toothless* - No! You shouldn't even walk around!

- Than I won't, but you can carry me around.

*Toothless* - ....

- You carry me, we sit down somewhere, and I promise I won't move. I just go crazy inside. Please?

*Toothless* - ... okay. But if you worsen your current state, I'll beat you up!

- Understood!

I got some warm clothes, than I mounted him, and lay down, I trust his stealth skills. I closed my eyes. I have to get well as soon as possible, there's a lot undone, I must finish these, because I don't want to know how the others react if they see this mess. I took a deep breath, now it was chilling cold. As I opened my eyes, I could see my breath, it was like smoke. Hehe.

We did not go far. He flew down from the cliff, and where we couldn't be seen from the docks he found a little platform where we sat down. The sea's sweet salty scent hit us as the waves attacked the cliff.

- Who would have thought we end up here someday.

*Toothless* - Yeah. It's really nice here...

We stared to the horizon for a while, we saw scauldrons raising their heads from the water and a little pack of terrible terrors flying by, before we decided we should head back, we landed on the cliff.... um...

- Hello Astrid!

*Astrid* - What are you doing out here?! You'll be seen and you need to rest!

- Chill down, We've just taken a little break.

*Astrid* - Are you always that reckless?!

- Ummmm...

*Astrid* - You are crazy.

- You are not the first who is telling me that...

*Astrid* - You are saying that like you are not.

- Hehe. Um....

She started to laugh. Um.

*Astrid* - I'm out of my mind. I'm arguing with the most wanted and dangerous person. Again.

- Oh. That's have been bothering you? I should have known. Really, if I wanted to mean harm I could have. Toothless could have. But you saved me! I'm glad, and I owe you! Just look at me like I was a simple guy.

*Astrid* - You ask the impossible.

- Heh. Nah I'm not that special...

*Astrid* - Of course.

We went back, where Gothi scold us for this little tour, like I expected. We went upstairs, when I finally got myself comfortable under my blanket, Toothless was already enjoying the scratching from Astrid.

- I see you two get on pretty well. Would you like to know more about dragons?

*Astrid* - We have training here, we know everything...

- But you didn't know about the dragon's true nature.

*Astrid* - ....

- And I firmly believe I can show you some new stuff.

*Astrid* - Ok. By the way! I forgot to ask something first.

- Than ask it.

*Astrid* - About the wound. Or rather when I got it. As the dragons saw me they retreated. Why?

- It's easy. I assume you spent the days with my bud like now. They felt his scent on you, and since he is an Alpha, it's clearly sensible especially for dragons, and a regular dragon don't want to mess with an Alpha, and not with his close followers. And if they had hurt you, and left, it means they felt it later, and didn't wanted to get in trouble.

*Astrid* - Wow.

*Astrid* - I don't know...

Okay. I'm done. I tried to do it poker face but I'm done. IT'S SO FUNNY. Toothless is dying by laughing, but she still struggle with this few word.... I giggled a bit so she won't feel bad, but it's awful... but she tries hard, and I respect that....

~ Few days later ~

I'm getting better and better, a few more day and I'll can ride again safely! I was sitting on a high point that we discovered at night, and I know for sure, we can't be seen from below.

I took out my flute, that I found out I brought, and started to play some songs that I learnt during my travelings. Soft, comforting melody. I can't sing well but I feel like I'm singing when I play. I don't know when they arrived, but a pack of terrible terror was here with us now, and dancing around me, with the music.

Soon I was out of breath, and as soon as I finished the first song I decided it was enough. We stared at the Sun's first rays before I disappeared with Toothless in the night's last shadows.

Astrid's POV

Nowadays I sleep well, since he asked me something incredible.

"Hey Astrid! Can I ask you a big favor? Could you fly with Toothless? It's not healthy to for him to napping all the time, but he refuse to fly without a rider and he won't let me since I'm wounded."

After that I spent long-long time in saddle, when I finally go home to sleep I sleep like dead. I wouldn't have guessed riding a dragon is that exhausting.

I woke up... because someone played some music. It was too beautiful for me to be annoyed about it, but looking out from the window and realizing literally everyone is out, and searching the musician... surprising. However because of the echo, it was impossible to find. The Sun was barely up when it stopped.

Afternoon I visited the incredible duo, who was still sleeping like dead. Let me guess. They were out the whole night.

In the afternoon I couldn't finish, but at night when I arrived they were still sleeping! I thought I won't wake them up than, but I saw a little wooden flute. A FLUTE. Was it from the morning?! Really?!

- HEY!

I shouted. Both of them jumped high like a scared cat, but as they landed they were already on foot and fight ready, I have no clue where he got that dagger, but he hold it defensively in front of him, and from his dozed look he would leap on me in a blink of an eye an cut my throat.

Maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

To my luck, his look cleared, and he sat down crossed-leg while he was apologizing for his out burst and made me promise to not to wake him up again like this.

*Rider* - Sooo, how are you? Same boring day?

- We can say that. Expect, someone woke up a whole village.

*Rider* - Really? Who?

- I don't know. Maybe someone with a dragon and a flute!

*Rider* - Ummmmmm. Sorry? - He scratched the back of his neck. - I didn't mean to, wouldn't have imagine it's that loud.

- Only the echo.

*Rider* - Hehe. I didn't think about it. Is it already nighttime? Great! Would you want to come with us?

- Sorry, I can't  I have to have lunch with my family today, and probably it will take a long time. Where are you going?

*Rider* - To the Eastern beach. I've seen a good spot there and I want to check it out.

- Okay. Have fun. I'll may join you later.

We went on separated ways, I always enjoy these family meetings, we discussed what happened with each other, what are the plans until next week, when we hold the next meeting, it's fun. However I wasn't in the mood of sitting here... but I didn't judge myself, there's a nightfury out there waiting for me to fly! Of course I'm excited!
I'll visit them in the morning.

I woke a bit later than I wanted but if I hurry I'll have time for a round in the air. I've run through the forest where I assumed I can find them, which was an eas task since I know what places they prefer.

I found them.

I stopped and took a moment to memorise the scene. Under the fainting moon alongside with the stars I saw the smaller and the lot bigger shadow. When I was about to join them the Whisperer said something that made me freeze on my spot.

*Whisperer* - ... it's strange to be here again, it's nostalgic.

Being here again? What?! Toothless growled something back.

*Whisperer* - Yeah. Our first flight. It was incredible, we camped down here for the afternoon after it, remember?

... Toothless growled again.

*Whisperer* - And the little terrors wanted to get your food - He laughed - And from that day I was the best at the training. I was even better than Astrid!

......... Toothless growled.

*Whisperer* - To being no longer the Useless!

...................... Toothless growled.

*Whisperer* - I'm so happy nobody believed in me when I was saying I shot you down. I would have been accepted in the tribe but I had lost something more important. You.

................................. Toothless purred.

*Whisperer* - Or the other option if I lost the tournament? Do you think we would have done the same? You living in the cove... ah. We would have escape from this place either way, wouldn't we?

....................................................... Toothless growled.

*Whisperer* - I don't know if you were awake but Astrid told me, everyone assume I'm dead. I was taken by a nightfury? Hehe. I took the nightfury with me! - He laughed. - Maybe it's better this way. My cousin Snotlout will be the next chief, everything i  place without me. It's kinda sucks that my own father want to hunt down us for double reason but hey, he won't reach us!

.... Toothless growled for a bit.

*Whisperer* - No way in hell I'm telling her I'm Hiccup! Nope!

Toothless growled.

*Hiccup* - Don't you see how....

I didn't hear the rest. I was sprinting back to the village, now I understand everything! It's so clear! Why he knew our names back than! Why he is avoiding Berk for the first place! Or why he knows the hiding place on Berk better than me! The night fury! The secret of him being so good in training! Everything! Even his age!

As I reached the edge of the forest the village's sight was calming. My lungs burnt, but I still had power to box into a tree, my fist was bleeding but I couldn't care less. What now? I know he is Hiccup! I feel so stupid for not realising it! Now I got it why he said "nobody would believe in you". Because it's crazy, ridiculous, absurd and unbelievable! And it's true.

I just stood there.

Really.

Now what.

I would call myself crazy if I'd hear myself telling that!

I've just stood there. I didn't know how to feel about it. I respected him. I trusted everything he said. .... I still do. But he is Hiccup! Hiccup the Useless! Nope, Hiccup the Dragon Conqueror! The most wanted! ... okay. It's sounds strange.... but it's true!

Still. What now?!
