You Can Do it!
There are writers out there (and readers) who I've heard say they can't do this or that because they're dyslexic.
You can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. Yes, having dyslexia makes it harder, but it doesn't preclude you from writing or reading.
One of the authors I know is dyslexic. She co-writes with another author and they have an entire series out. She has issues sometimes when writing out scenes, but her co-author helps her figure out what she did and they work together to get the scenes right. It's all about finding your balance. She can write extremely well. When she gets excited about a scene and types quickly she has more issues.
I've found, thanks to a reader, a font called Open Dyslexic, it's available for free (I'll put the link in the external link for you). So far, I haven't figure out how to get it to work when publishing digitally, but for print, it works great.
Once I finish the Chosen series, I'm planning on publishing a second set of the books in Open Dyslexic. I had a reader tell me he can't find a lot of good books on audio and he would love to read print books but it's too hard for him to concentrate because of his dyslexia. To have the books available for an entire new set of readers, to give them something they can easily read, would mean a lot.
If you are a writer with dyslexia, download the font and do your writing in Word. Then copy and paste it into Wattpad for publishing. It may make things easier and let you focus more on the writing without making it a chore you must get through.
Good luck and happy writing!
