Days ago I was talking with my dad, and he asked me what I want in my future, what I want to have (cars, houses, etc).

I just answered I want to have what will make me happy and satisfied, but he said "You need to want everything your money can buy, so then you'll have everything". That made me uncomfortable and then he said I should read the book "The secrets about millionaire mind".

Today I talked with him again and again he asked me what amount of pages I've read, I said " Nothing, didn't got time to read it yet. "

"What do you read then? Don't you have time to rest?"

"Yes, I have do rest, but like I said reading rest me."

"So, what do you read?"

"I read romance an-"

"Romance? Romance? Where do you think romance will send you?"

"Mmm, it helps me learning new words..."

"You MUST read the book I told you to."

I got really angry with him, because what? Does reading really need to send you somewhere? To help on your future?
Why can't I read romance to rest? Why does a book need to send me anywhere real?Don't we read to be sent to a place that our mind creates, that we're in peace? A place that belongs to ourselves and nobody else? Sometimes to escape from our reality? And become another person?

If isn't for that, why do you read for?
