So how about those Tonys, huh?

For those of you who missed it, here's how many Tony Awards were given last night to certain musicals.

Anastasia: 0

Come From Away: 1 (Best Musical Direction)

Bandstand:  1 (Best Chorography)

Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812: 2 (Best Lighting for a Musical, Best Scenic Design for a Musical)

Hello, Dolly!: 3 (Best Costume Design for a Musical, Best Supporting Actor for a Musical, Best Leading Actress for a Musical)

Dear Evan Hansen: 6 (Best Orchestrations, Best Original Score, Best Book for a Musical, Best Supporting Actress, Best Leading Actor for a Musical, Best Musical)

So yeah. That happened last night.

Okay, so I admire Ben Platt; I love his voice, and I respect him for all the physical and vocal stress that he has to go through for the show, so I can get behind him winning the Tony for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. As for everything Dear Evan Hansen won... Not so much.

I feel like last night was a repeat of last year with Hamilton overshadowing all the other wonderful new musicals, only worse, because Dear Evan Hansen didn't warrant everything that they took home.  I just- uGGGGGGH

To sum up my feelings of the 71st Annual Tony Awards, here are some screenshots that my friend sent to me last night to express her opinions on the lack of Great Comet wins.
