Anchor Objects

Okay, if you've ever worked in Mircosoft, then you might recognize this:

Or perhaps it looks like this to you:

Either way, it is called an anchor object, and it is the bANE OF MY EXISTANCE.

An anchor object's purpose is to show which text a picture is associated to, and it can affect the positioning of that object within the document... supposedly. Let me tell you, I have had Microsoft training and we never worked with anchor objects besides learning the name for them.

THEY ARE NOT HELPFUL.

THEY ARE FRUSTERATING.

I can do everything that they're supposed to do myself by messing around with the settings of a picture for a few seconds. Anchor objects are just tHERE. They just sit there, in your way of small details you need to see and being SMUG ABOUT IT TOO.

Oh sure, they claim to have a purpose, but they DO NOT. No real purpose in life, whatever. They're just there! You will never actually need them, I promise you.

Luckily, there's a way to rid yourself of these annoying pests. Simply go to File, click Opinions, click Display, and uncheck the box next to Object Anchors. Then bye-bye, troubling little menaces! They are gone from your sight!

So yeah. I hate anchor objects. With a burning passion.
