Based on True Events

*Lights go up on a large bedroom. Cat lounges upon the bed lazily. The door opens, and Emerald enters*

Emerald: Oh, my precious kitty, hello there! *sits down on bed next to Cat* You're looking soft and pretty, as usual. I must pet you, baby.

*Emerald moves to stroke the silky soft fur of her cat, but he immediately gets up and moves to the other side of the bed. Emerald gasps in shock*

Emerald: How dare you betray me like that? Me, the person who is the reason that you were brought into this house all those years ago, even when your origins were called into question the second you set paw in the sacred halls for the first time? I was the one who saved you from my sister's filthy hands when she tortured you with her tight grip and dresses! I'm the one who sneaks you and your brother extra food behind my own mother's back when you come begging for it! And this is how you repay me?

*Emerald flops over on the bed with much dramatic as Cat looks on, his ears perking up slightly at the sound of the word food. He moves over as if he is walking towards Emerald, but when she looks up and makes eye contact with him, he walks in the other direction*

Emerald: Okay then! I see how it is. First you betray me in the cruelest way possible, and now you snub me. Well, see if I care! See if I let you into my bedroom when that horrible vacuum roams the halls once more! See if I-

*Cat sits his fat self down on Emerald's hand as a sign of affection. Immediately, she softens*

Emerald: Oh. Oh. Oh, sweetheart, I forgive you. I'm sorry for getting mad at you, you didn't deserve it, soft baby.

*Emerald begins to pet Cat, who starts to purr contentedly. They remain like that for a few moments, happy together, until Cat suddenly leaps out of Emerald's arms and runs out the door. Emerald is brokenhearted*

Emerald: *with much dramatic* Nooooooooo don't leave me here alone! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!..

*Lights fade out*
