My parents: Hey hey hey!! Hurry up and come! Hurry up! You gotta see this! *shows a talent show featuring a group of young Viets dancing and "fighting" with rope things at the same time just cause I showed interest in dancing, literally what happens in musicals and plays during "fight scenes"*

Me: Eh... not interested... let me go back

My parents: oH gosh then alright weren't u interested in dancing, gosh u should stop learning dancing then if u can't even like this

(I'm not even kidding, they literally said something like that)

I mean I get I was kinda rude but?? Really?? That kinda hurt jeez

They even said something like "but when those Koreans come up on stage u actually like it!" like jEez u can't tell the different between that fake-fighting-dancing and the choreography I usually go for??

Try telling me those two are the same again I stg

I'm not even a fan of talent shows in the first place, nevertheless the Vietnamese ones my parents watch;;

I wish that group my parents showed me at least stuck to either focusing on fake fighting or actually dancing;;
