Dazed awakenings
Tw: Nudity, sexual references, alcohol.
Saida groggily opened her eyes, relishing in the warmth that enveloped her body. She let out a small yawn and stretched, stopping when she bumped into something next to her.
She slowly turned to see what it was.
Crosshair was asleep next to her, arm wrapped around her waist.
Saida froze, slowly moving the blanket up to cover her naked body.
Crosshair let out a small grunt at the movement and squeezed her waist tighter.
"Crosshair! Crosshair wake up!" Saida hissed and nudged him.
"What?" He slurred without opening his eyes.
"Crosshair, you better wake up before I slap you awake," Saida threatened.
He slowly peeled his eyes open and made eye contact with her, before they flew wide open and he scrambled away from her. "What are you doing here?"
"I don't know!" Saida angrily said and clutched the blanket up to her chest. "If I did know, why would I wake you when I could just make a clean getaway?"
"Good point," Crosshair muttered before pinching his nose. "What in the name of the Force happened last night?"
Saida ignored him and rooted around for her clothes, changing into them under the sheets. He politely kept his gaze fixed at the ceiling, as pieces of the previous night slowly returned to the both of them.
~The previous night~
"What happened to you?" Crosshair asked as he sat on the barstool next to Saida.
Saida pushed a strand of hair from her face with a huff. "What do you mean?"
"You look angrier than usual," Crosshair remarked.
"Just had a bad night," Saida told him and swirled the liquid in her glass.
"What made it bad?" Crosshair asked and motioned for the bartender to pour him a drink.
"Bad date, bad sex, and now I'm talking to you," Saida listed, shooting him a glare.
Crosshair hummed. "And you came to 79's to fix that?"
"Figured I'd get drunk and hope I wouldn't remember this night," Saida grumbled.
"And how's that going for you?" Crosshair cocked an eyebrow at her.
"I haven't even finished one drink yet," she bitterly sighed. "I think I'll just turn in for the night."
Crosshair downed his drink and offered her a hand.
She glanced at it, then back up at his face. "What's this for?"
"Come on," Crosshair inclined his head to the exit. "Let's get out of here."
Saida took his hand and let him pull her to her feet, following him back to the ship. She plopped down on the ramp outside the ship and stared up at the sky.
Crosshair settled next to her and gazed at her face.
She noticed him staring and met his gaze, frowning.
"What?" Saida asked. "Is there something on my face?"
"No," Crosshair simply said before standing up and making his way inside. "Want a nightcap?"
"Why not?" Saida shrugged and trailed after him.
He poured and handed her a drink, guiding her to the cockpit. They sat and sipped at the drinks, trying to ignore the awkward silence.
"So, where are the others?" Saida asked.
"They're spending the night with a friend and brought Omega with them. I didn't want to leave you alone so I volunteered to stay behind," Crosshair informed her.
"Didn't know you guys had friends," Saida snickered.
Crosshair rolled his eyes, but a smiled toyed at his lips. "Like you can talk. How many friends do you have?"
Saida muttered something under her breath.
"What was that?" Crosshair teased, cupping a hand around his ear.
"Not a lot," Saida admitted. "Only really you guys."
Crosshair's face softened. "Well I'm honoured to be one of them."
"Aww, thanks," Saida leaned her head on his shoulder, the alcohol lowering her guard.
Crosshair stiffened, making her peel herself off him.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to overstep!" Saida apologized.
"No!" Crosshair blurted out. "It's alright! I didn't mind it!"
Saida blushed and put her head back on his shoulder, feeling his breath brush her forehead as he glanced at her.
"You said they were staying the night somewhere else?" Saida hesitantly asked.
"Yeah, why?" Crosshair questioned.
"If you wanted to... we could pas the time with some activities," Saida offered.
"Are you sure this isn't the alcohol talking?" Crosshair carefully asked.
"I've had exactly two drinks," Saida laughed.
Then she closed the distance between them, until they could feel each others breaths on their faces.
"You sure?" She asked him.
He answered by connecting their lips.
~The next morning~
"This is awkward," Saida remarked as she handed Crosshair his clothes, turning her back to him.
"We obviously can't tell the others," Crosshair told her.
"Obviously," Saida agreed.
"We're back!" Wrecker loudly announced.
Saida and Crosshair exchanged panicked looks.
"You go out first and I'll come out later!" Crosshair quietly said.
Saida nodded and walked into their view, noticing they were carrying drinks. "What's that?"
"We brought you caf!" Omega cheerfully said and handed Saida one.
"Thanks," Saida smiled at them.
"How was last night?" Tech asked.
Saida choked on the caf she was drinking. "What?"
"I meant how was your night. You had mentioned having a date," Tech clarified.
"Oh, that," Saida nodded. "It was fine."
Hunter narrowed his eyes at her. "Why is there a mark on your neck?"
"Um, no reason," Saida tried brushing it off.
"Ha! Saida got some action last night!" Wrecker patted her back. "Good for you!"
"Action?" Omega curiously asked.
"Go play outside," Saida ordered.
Omega cheered and ran outside.
"Welcome back," Crosshair greeted his brothers as he entered the room.
"Uh huh," Hunter distractedly said. "Saida, please tell me you didn't bring some stranger back to the ship."
"I didn't!" Saida's face lit up.
"But you did hook up with someone?" Wrecker asked.
"Maybe," Saida muttered.
"Well," Crosshair cheekily said, "how were they?"
Saida glowered at him. "It doesn't matter."
"Bad then?" Hunter said.
Saida's eyes glittered mischievously. "Yes."
"That sucks," Wrecker empathetically said.
Crosshair discreetly stepped on her toes.
"Ow!" Saida cried out.
He snickered, so she elbowed his side.
"What's with you two?" Hunter questioned.
"Nothing," Saida glared at Crosshair.
Hunter shrugged and went to check on Omega, with Wrecker in tow.
Crosshair rolled his eyes at Saida. She stuck her tongue out at him in return.
Tech gasped and started pointing between the two of them with wide eyes.
"Tech," Crosshair warned.
Tech bolted for the door.
"Get back here!" Saida shouted, shaking her fist.
They began to chase after him.
"You two did what?" Hunter shouted. "In my ship?"
This is kinda a cliffhanger, but this was where I ran out of inspiration.
