The twins had had enough being indoors they wanted to get out but Errikos was busy and Auntie Luna weren't there and their papa said that in the new year they would be having something called tutors over to teach them.... whatever but first things first.....

...... Christmas!

Yes the boys knew about it but never got to celebrate the holiday as the bullies at the orphanage would lock them outside in the cold why the others enjoyed what Christmas they had even if it was hardly nothing it was at least something for the orphans to enjoy

"Galen I'm bored~" whined Kam to him and it was a first for his little brother to call him by his full name

"Kam I know I'm bored as well and papa isn't here I think he's in his office working but he told us only to come if it was important" he put his book down bored as well

"Let's go tell him we're bored and want him" said the slightly younger boy opening the door to the play room and running out

"Kamari!! no don't we don't know what will happen" he ran after his brother scared they had never gone into Errikos' office before this was going into the unknown, even though he was older by a few minutes to hours, he didn't know which, he was still the older brother here

Kam was already knocking on the door and opened it before saying it was ok to come in "papa...."

Errikos was busy writing and kinda jumped at Sam's hyperactive voice from the door, he looked up glaring until he saw who it was well... who they were really

"Boys what can I do for you? I'm kind of busy at the moment"

"Papa we're bored" said Kam the boy was really coming out of his shell and it appeared that he was going to be the hyper little brother

"And why are you bored Kamari?"

"Nothing to do and and we wanna go out and play!" said the little boy

"Well I've finished my work how about your get your winter cloaks and we'll go to Diagon Alley to look at the Christmas and Yule decorations, Christmas is what the Muggles celebrate while we witches and wizards celebrate Yule"

"What's Yule?" both boys asked and this made Errikos smile

"Come here boys and I'll tell you ok" they came over and let them sit on his lap

"Well boys we decorate an oak log with pine cones, dried berries, cinnamon sticks, Holly and mistletoe and place it in our fire place or we'll do it outside it doesn't matter which to be honest, as the log or Yule log burns it becomes an symbolic ritual to release the past and banish the negative energy that you don't want to follow you into the new year, meaning we start of with a clean slate

We will eat good hearty food and save some for the gods and goddesses that protect us, we will each then bless people that we are lost over the years and welcome he new into our hearts and home

*A little history here ok boys not to make it so complicated, Yule has been on the calendars for centuries and first celebrated in the 5th century meaning a really long time ago ok by the Germanic pagans as a midwinter festival to stave off the dark and cold and to prepare for the long winter still to come

"Wow so long ago" the boys said together

"Yes and we celebrate it to also renew our magic as well and to keep up happy and healthy but you two are also special as you both have a birthday as well"

"Yay Christmas and birthday!" the two bounced around

"Ok boys go and get ready and we'll head out to Diagon Alley to get some things for Yule I know Tit and Ta can do it but I would love if you two would help me pick things out" he watched the boys run out before he could say anymore

Errikos put on his black and gold jacket over his white shirt and red tie with red waistcoat and then put his red robe over it with his black gloves yes he knew he looked very Gryffindor but he just didn't care much what everyone else as he had clothes to represent all houses and today just happened to be Gryffindor

The boys ran in with their matching outfits of green like normal he never told them to wear matching they just did and he was happy with whatever the boys wanted

"Ok boys we will be Floo'ing to the Leaky Cauldron and from there Diagon Alley ok" the boys nodded and took his hands and headed to the Leaky Cauldron

They stepped though making everyone jump when they saw Errikos come through holding the two boys close

"Papa I don't like that"

"I know Galen but it's the lesser of two evils to be honest I wasn't much for either when I was younger I would always fall over covered in soot or on my arse slightly splinched I had a bad wound on my leg took a while to recover but I have the scar still"

"Ow"

"Yep but I'm ok so don't worry about it" he ruffled his head and took the boys out back and tapped the stones revealing Diagon Alley in all of its glory

The boys loved the alley as they had not clue what to look at first and foremost their eyes always wide and wanting to explore

"Come along boys we're here to get certain things like the log, berries and a tree ok" he took their hands because at 4 they would wonder their birthday was just around the corner as well so he would have to send Tit and Tat out later to get their presents when he took them to the toy store to have a look around

They wandered around happily and picked up their log as well as dried berries that the boys had picked out mostly they had picked apricots, currents, dates, figs, orange slices and cherries more than enough for their Yule log they already had everything else at home, next was the Christmas tree....

They kept looking until Errikos saw someone he thought would never be there in this timeline.... no it couldn't be could it, he looked again and when the man turned around he saw that it was indeed Neville Frank Longbottom of all people

"Nev?!" he was shocked as the man smiled at him and gave a small wave

"Hello Errikos how are you today on this fine snowy day?" asked Neville to his friend

"I'm ok but what are you doing here first Luna and now you?"

"Well a certain spirit thought we would be best to help you and we were brought here"

"Who else?"

"I'm not allowed to say sadly but you will know.....them" smiled Neville "perhaps are you after a tree? they have been doing so well and everyone loves them I'm almost selling out but I think I have the right tree for you"

The boys had gone to look around and in the middle of the lot they squealed at what they had found the tree they wanted which happened to be the biggest there

Neville laughed at the twins and went to sort it out before Errikos could say anything to him he just followed

"Neville I would like you to meet my son's Galen Thomas Peverell and Karmai Severus Peverell they will be 5 at the end of the month boys say hello to Neville for me he's s good friend of mine"

Right away Kam went shy and hid behind his brother while Len went defensive making Errikos sigh

"Boys he won't hurt you I promise remember auntie Luna? she's my friend as well and she hasn't hurt you and I can promise that Neville won't either no can you come and say hi for me?"

They came over to him shyly and introduced themselves to Neville making Neville smiled at them

"I won't hurt you your papa and Luna are my best friends ok I won't hurt you I love plants more than anything"

This made the boys giggle at him they found him funny which they liked

"We're doing Yule!" said Len to his new found friend

"Papa said we can get the log and tree and we're decorating them! also our birthday!" said Kam

"Yule first then your birthday remember that ok always Yule then your birthday" laughed Errikos to them this made everyone around them smile they had never seen Lord Peverell happy chat away like he was doing even after years of being a recluse

"Oh wow so many celebrations this month for you me and your papa our birthday's are in summer and my wife's is in February and our adopted son's is in March" said Neville to them making the twin look at him in awe

"You're married and have a son here?!"

"Yes and you know them already but if welcomed we can come over for Yule celebrations?"

"That's fine Neville I'm going to have to invite so many people as they've seen me out about so I'll have to look into the families and Ministry for that"

"Well you know I'll be there" smiled Neville to him

"Thank you again"
