Y/N meets Calum
~Four years later~
Calum opened his eyes and yawned as he stretched out. He looked at the time. 7:45 am. He groaned before shutting his eyes again and rolling over. He opened one eye slightly as he heard the bedroom door open. He smiled slightly as he felt the bed dip and someone crawling over the sheets.
"Daddy, are you awake?" Dove asked, tapping his arm. He didn't respond.
"Daddy, wake up." She giggled as she leant over him.
"Rah!" he yelled as he sat up. She jumped back and laughed.
"Daddy! You scared me!" she squealed, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"Aww, I'm sorry, baby girl, I didn't mean to." He chuckled.
"I'm hungry." She pouted.
"Well, I think that daddy needs to make some pancakes then, does that sound good?" he asked.
"Yeah." She nodded. He returned it and smiled before picking her up and standing from the bed. He carried her through the apartment and into the kitchen.
Y/N's P.O.V
I opened my eyes and stretched out. I groaned as I saw the time. 8:15 am. I sighed as I sat up. I grabbed my phone and clicked the home button. I smiled slightly at the photo that I had as my lock screen. Tears pricked my eyes as I shut my phone off and stood up. I walked into my kitchen and started to work on breakfast.
Calum's P.O.V
"Daddy is just going to collect the mail, okay?" Calum asked as he pulled on his shoes.
"Can I come too?" Dove asked. Calum looked at her.
"You don't want to do that, princess. It'll only be boring things and daddy things." He shrugged.
"Please, daddy." She smiled. He returned it before standing up.
"Alright then. But don't complain when you're bored." He chuckled. She squealed as he picked her up and sat her on his shoulders.
"Okay, this is where the daddy taxi stops." Calum chuckled, taking Dove down from his shoulders as he got out the key for his mailbox. He opened it and dug out his mail.
"Daddy, watch this!" Dove squealed.
"Daddy's watching, honey, very good!" he spoke, even though his eyes were on his mail. He sifted through it, sighing as it was bill after bill after bill.
"Okay, baby, let's go." Calum sighed as he turned around. His eyes widened as he couldn't see Dove.
"Dove?" he called out, looking around. His heart sped up.
"Shit, Dove! This isn't funny, come out now!" he demanded. Nothing.
"Holy shit, I've lost my four-year-old daughter." He gulped, holding his hands to his head.
"Dove! Daddy won't be mad if you come out now! This isn't funny, where are you?!" he yelled, running around the lobby before rushing back up the stairs.
Y/N's P.O.V
I sipped my coffee as I sifted through the mail. Suddenly, there was a knock on my door. I sighed as I stood up and went to it. I opened it and my eyes widened as a little girl stood on my doorstep, with tears rolling down her face.
"Aww, honey, don't cry, what's wrong?" I cooed, bending down so that I was at eye level with her.
"I don't know where my daddy is." She mumbled, rubbing her eye.
"Do you live in this building, sweetheart?" I asked. She nodded.
"Do you know where you live? Which floor? Which apartment?" I asked. She shook her head. I sighed.
"Okay. What's your name, love?" I asked.
"Dove Hood." She spoke quietly.
"Okay, Dove. How about you come into my apartment so that you're safe and I'm sure that your daddy will come along soon?" I suggested. She nodded. I returned it before taking her hand and walking her into my apartment before shutting the door.
"You want anything to drink, sweetheart?" I asked as she climbed onto one of my dining chairs.
"No, thank you." She mumbled. I sighed as I sat opposite her and looked at her.
"Don't worry, honey. I'm sure that your daddy is out and about, looking for you right now. Wait two minutes and there'll be a knock on my door." I promised. She nodded and wiped her eyes.
"It's just that I've never gotten separated from my daddy before." She spoke quietly.
"So, your mummy and daddy have never lost you before?" I asked.
"I don't have a mummy." She mumbled.
"How come?" I asked. She shrugged as there was a knock on my door.
"See, I told you, I bet that that's him." I smiled at her as I stood up and went to the door. I opened it and my eyes widened slightly as a stunning man stood there.
"Oh my god, I've been separated from my daughter, have you seen her, she's yay big, she's four, she's got the same colour eyes, skin and hair as me, please tell me that you've seen her." He rushed, panting for breath.
"Calm down, I found her, she's in my apartment." I chuckled. He breathed a sigh of relief as he rested his hand against his chest.
"Oh, thank god." He sighed.
"Come in." I smiled, letting him in. He returned it and it widened as he saw the girl.
"Daddy!" she squealed as she jumped down from the chair.
"Dove, oh my god." He sighed in relief as he picked her up and buried his face into her hair.
"I'm so glad that you're okay." He mumbled before pulling back and looking at her.
"You scared me so much, don't ever do that again." He spoke. She nodded.
"I'm sorry, daddy." She muttered quietly. He sighed.
"It's okay. I'm just glad that you're alright." He nodded before looking at me.
"Thank you so much for letting her in, I can't imagine what would have happened if she was just left out in the corridor." He spoke.
"No bother, I'm glad I could help." I smiled.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Y/N. You?" I asked.
"Calum. Nice to meet you." He smiled, extending his hand. I returned it and shook his hand.
"I guess I'll see you later." He smiled before starting to walk to the front door, Dove still in his arms.
"See you." I smiled as I shut the door behind them.
