"Papa?" Nikki called, standing close to the edge of the platform. 

She wasn't suppose to be so close to the edge without her papa or uncle, but she was hungry. Mama was off getting supplies with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Koki. Uncle Martin had shouted about a game of squid tag and dove in to the ocean followed closely by her papa.

"Uncle Martin?" she called. 

Suddenly, a huge blue tentacle came out of the water and wrapped around Nikki's waist and pulled her into the water. 

Nikki gasped as she hit the water, swallowing a mouthful of water. She knew how to swim. Her uncle Martin had been teaching for as long as she could remember, but the squid's tentacle was too stong for her. 

She looked down and saw the blackness that was below her and she started fighting even harder to get free.

Martin felt a tugging on one of her tentacles and glanced towards it. 

It was wrapped around Nikki and she was fighting to get free from the thing. 

Martin quickly surfaced and placed the 6 year old back on the platform. 

"Nikki are you okay?" he asked. 

She looked at him with pure terror and ran back inside the Tortuga, crying. 

"Bro, what's up?" Chris asked surfacing near Martin. 

"Nothing, Nikki was just wondering where we were," Martin lied quickly. 

"Okay," Chris said and dived back down. 

Martin glaced at the Tortuga. 

'She'll be fine by the time the others get home,' he thought going back to his game of Squid Tag.

"Nikki, changuita? Where are you? Its bath time," Aviva called for her daughter. 

The 6 year old hadn't left her side since she got home, but the second she had gone out to the platform to call the brothers in, Nikki ran and hid by Koki. 

And now at the mention of bath time, Nikki was hiding again. 

"Chris, did Nikki fall in the water at all?" she asked her fiance. 

"Not that I know of. Martin did say she came looking for me when we were playing squid and whale tag earlier, but that's it," the green Kratt brother said, looking worried, "why do you ask?"

"Just a feeling."

When they found Nikki and brought her into the bathroom, she started to sob and fight to get away from the full bath tub. 

"Nikki what's going on?!" Chris shouted as he got kicked in the face and let go of his daughter. 

When he looked up, the little brunette girl was already gone.

Nikki sobbed under her bed, clutching her wolf plushie to her. She didn't want to go anywhere near that wet liquid, even if her mama and papa were there with her. 

"Nikki, are you in here?" Papa asked from her door way. 

Nikki sniffled and curled tighter in a ball.

Chris could hear his daughter crying from under her bed. It seemed that whenever she was scared or upset, she would hid under her bed. 

"Nikki, I'll be right back," Chris said and ran to get him creature power suit and his cheetah disk.

"I found Nikki, but she's under her bed," Chris said pulling on his suit, "she won't come out so I'm going to try a trick."

"What trick?" Aviva asked as a flash of green light filled the room. 

Chris didn't answer, only running out of the room at top cheetah speed.

Chris pulled his trembling daughter out from under her bed and took a deep breath in. He let out a soft purr, holding Nikki close to his chest.

Both father and daughter didn't move or talk, they just let the purr do its work.

"Idoiota! Si vuelves a asustar asi a mi hija, te juro que te arrancare una extremidad! Y ni siquiera los poderes de las criaturas te salvarn!" Aviva shouted angrily at the older Kratt brother.

"What did she just say?" he asked softly.

"You idiot! If you scare my daughter like that again, I swear I will tear you limb from limb. And not even creature powers will save you!" The angry Spanish woman yelled. 

"Um, I'm sorry?" 

Aviva looked ready to rip his head of with her bare hands until she spotted Chris, in his cheetah power suit, coming in Nikki sleeping against his chest.

"Gimmie," Aviva said, holding her arms out for her daughter.

Chris surrendered the sleeping child to her mother and watched the pair walk out of the room before deactivating his suit. 

 "Martin," the younger Kratt's growled at his brother, "if you ever do anything like that again, Aviva won't be the only person you have to worry about."

Martin gulped. He would never admit it to his face, but Chris was way more intimidating then him. Martin had watched him just stare at a group of poachers and they ran away. 

"Bro-" Martin started to apologize. 

Chris punched him straight in the mouth, knocking him to the ground. 

"Shut up Martin!" he shout and then left the room. 

Martin sat on the ground, realizing how badly he had messed up as blood trickled from his nose.
