DreamSMP are the first ideas that invade here

Long ago, people were sacrificed to create gods.

Or rather murdered and there corpses possessed.

One of these was a small child, murdered by his family as a sacrifice in a time of famine.

As they Die, a mask is placed on there face as mortals should not look upon the faces of gods.

There corpse was taken over by a Dreamon.. yes, the child was Dream. Thing is, as long as there body was a puppet the victims soul was forced to wonder there soul chained by the same mask on there original body.

Fast forward eon, Dream.. or rather the Dreamon continues the charade of Dream controlling the body and even its age.

The ghost Dream evolved during this time, somehow becoming an actual god DreamXD and uses shapeshifting to hide his true form which is still a child and wearing the clothing he wore as he died. Which, if you think on it explains why his moral compass and humor is so strange as its a child's morals humor which we all know is weird.

For amusement, my brain imaged baby Dream as a 5-7 year old in ornate roves, long hair in braids and the well known mask. Kinda want to write this, and George reaction to the true DreamXD form, and the fact that the Dream everyone knew is a corpse puppet.
