Hercules rested his head against his arms, which were on top of Lafayette's chest, letting out a long sigh.

You couldn't say Hercules and Lafayette were lovers. They were more 'friends-with-benefits' than anything.

Hercules, however, had romantic feelings for the Frenchman under him. Hercules loved everything about Lafayette.

His smile, his laugh, his personality, his di- (censored bc family friendly pg clean).

But Hercules knew Lafayette would never feel the same. 

At least Lafayette was in Hercules' life.

Hercules was staring at Lafayette's sleeping face from over his arms.

"I love you..." Hercules accidentally thought out loud. His words were muffled because of his arms.

"Mmh," Lafayette mumbled, "Did you say something, Herc?"

Hercules started to panic a bit because he thought Lafayette was asleep. He quickly replied, "n-no." Hercules let a tear slip from his eye but quickly wiped it away.

"Herc?" Lafayette asked, bringing his head up to face Hercules. "Y-yeah?" Hercules stuttered, shaking slightly.

"What's wrong?"

Lafayette sat up and pulled Hercules into his lap, hugging him. Hercules sniffled.

"I-" Hercules broke down into sobs, "I l-love you! B-but I know you don't feel the s-same..." Lafayette wiped the tears from Hercules' eyes, chuckling softly. 

"Wh-what?"

"You idiot. I love you too, mon cheri." Hercules' face lit up, flinging his arms around Lafayette's neck tightly. Lafayette giggled as Hercules peppered his face with kisses.

Hercules pulled away and stared at Lafayette for a minute. Lafayette slowly leaned in, Hercules copying this action until their lips met.

They were in perfect sync.

But they had to pull away for air. 

"Will you be my boyfriend?"

Hercules grinned widely, hugging Lafayette and nuzzling into his neck.

"Yes, of course!"
