Charles woke up suddenly, clutching the bedsheets tightly with hot tears streaming down his face. He sat up, bringing his knees up to his face and wrapping his arms around them. Charles sobbed into his knees, completely forgetting about the smaller frame next to him.

"Charlie?" said a voice groggily from beside Charles. Charles froze, his sobbing coming to an abrupt stop. 

"Charles! Are you okay?" Samuel asked frantically, hugging Charles tightly. "I-I just... Nightmare is all..."

Samuel nuzzled his face into Charles' chest as he laid the both of them down. They laid there for a bit, Samuel running his hands through Charles' hair to calm him down. 

"Sammy?" Samuel made a humming noise for Charles to continue, "c-can you sing for me?"

Samuel smiled and looked up at Charles, kissing his chin softly. 

"I will sing to you everyday, if it will take away the pain."

Samuel started singing I Do Adore, the song that got them two together. Charles grinned and let his eyes flutter closed.

Samuel finished in a raspy voice. He saw that Charles was asleep, which made him giggle quietly. Samuel cuddled closer to Charles and quickly fell asleep.
