Amadeus: They brought the animal before me, shameless and barking like a mad dog. For what felt like days I endured his boasts. He took pleasure recounting his actions, cataloging his depraved crimes. What should have been revenge turned to pity. This poor dog needed my help.

The island changed little over the years. Its reputation was in tatters, but I vowed to fix it. As the buildings were rebuilt I saw the future, a bright wonderful future. New brick, metal and paint covered old wounds. Fresh blood was injected into the body. Bright new minds came and all swore to uphold our promises. We all knew we were the ones to fix this city. And the city would thank us.

January 20 1945 [Past Sequence]

There was a training camp as someone was talking to the soldiers about their next mission as they nodded and began walking away. She began looking at the other soldiers training at the camp as she was looking at them.

Anne was looking at the soldiers as Winters was gonna walk away until she heard someone speaking to her as Anne turned around and saw who it was.

???: There you are, sweetheart.

Anne had a smile on her face as Barnes was smiling at her until both of them hugged each other and began speaking.

Anne: [Smiles] Bucky, its good to see you.

Bucky: [Smile] Same here love, how is everything going for you?

Anne: It's alright, we've been looking for more HYDRA bases and destroy those bases.

Bucky: That's good. We need to put an end to their madness once and for all.

Anne: Your right about that.

Both of them began walking around the camp as they continued talking to each other.

Bucky: You need to rest up. You've been working extremely hard for the last two years.

Anne: I know Buck but we can't take any breaks. Otherwise-

Bucky: I know but knowing them, they're probably laying low.

Anne was quiet as she knew Barnes was right and nodded. Bucky had a small smile on his face as he said something to Winters.

Bucky: [Smiles] Anne, there's something I want to tell you.

Anne: What is it?

Bucky: [Smiles] You're my sunshine on a cloudy day.

Anne was blushing as she had a smile on her face as Bucky said something to her.

Bucky: And your beautiful smile makes my heart melt.

She was blushing and smiled at Barnes as she kissed his cheek and he smiled at her as Anne said something to him.

Anne: [Smiles] You have an irresistible smile and I cannot keep calm.

Both of them were blushing while smiling at each other as they continued walking through the camp while talking to each other until Barnes said something to Anne.

Bucky: I have something for you.

Anne was staring at him as he gave her a present and Winters smiled at him and took the present. She began unwrapping it and saw a box as she looked at Bucky who was smiling at her.

Bucky said to her to open it as Anne opened the box and saw a necklace with some initials that said "Anne and Bucky Forever".

She had a huge smile on her face and looked at Barnes as he was smiling at her and said something to her.

Bucky: Your smile is one that goes on for miles. Your eyes shine like the brightest star in the night sky. You constantly make me smile and there's never a moment that goes by that I don't think of you. You mean the world to me and I don't know what I'd do without you in my life. I truly love you.

Anne had tears as she smiled at him and hugged him as he smiled at her and hugged her back. They continued hugging each other until Winters said something to him.

Anne: I can't imagine how life would be without you. You make the world complete. You make my world a better place to live in. You mean everything to me. I want you to hold me forever as I feel safe in your arms. You are my world.

Barnes smiled at her and kissed Anne's forehead as she smiled at him and gave him a kiss to the lips and continued hugging him. They let go as Bucky put the necklace on Anne and both of them said something to each other.

Bucky: I love you, Anne.

Anne: I love you too. I'll be there for you.

Bucky: [Smiles] Till the end of the line.

Anne and Bucky were smiling at each other until they heard someone speaking to them.

???: Awwww, Both of you look so adorable.

Peggy: [Smiles] Sorry to interrupt but we have a mission happening.

Anne: Alright, let's go.

Bucky smiled at Anne as he was holding her hand and Winters smiled at him as both of them began walking away while Peggy smiled at them and walked with them.

June 3 2014 [Present Day]

Alex broke the inmate's arm as he was about to scream until Ambrose stomped on the hostile, knocking him out.

He heard footsteps and immediately grappled to the gargoyle as he was surveying the room and saw four inmates were scared and nervous.

Ambrose made it to the Arkham Records Room and saw Cash along with guards tied up and kept hostage as there were armed inmates surrounding the room. He already took down some inmates and now there were only four left.

Alex jumped down and grabbed two inmates and hit a double DDT, knocking both of them out.

The last inmate saw Alex as he was scared and tried to shoot him but Ambrose grabbed his arm and then followed it up with a takedown.

Alex punched the inmate in the face, knocking him out as the room was clear. He began walking towards Cash along with the hostages and untied them from their restraints as Aaron got up and said something to the Batman.

Cash: Thanks.

Alex: Where did Doctor Young go?

Cash: I told her to run. These guys came in looking for her. I told her to go to her office and hide.

Alex: Does she keep her records there?

Cash: I guess. She was pretty desperate to get to her office. Her office is over there.

Alex: How long ago was this? I need to find her notes before Joker gets his hands on them.

Cash: Twenty minutes or maybe more. What's so important about these notes?

Alex: Joker wants them. That makes them important. Stay here, I'm going to find her.

Cash: Not a problem. I'll use the radio, see if I can get in contact with the other guards.

Alex nodded and began making his way towards Penelope's office. He was at the North Corridor and continued moving forward until he heard Joker speaking to him.

Joker: [Via Intercom] Going after those notes yourself huh Bats? Good luck. I got a crew breaking into the office as to speak. They'll break the doctors bones and when she cries and tells me the formula. Then they'll bring her back to me and I'll kill her myself by giving her shock therapy [Laughs]. Tell me, that doesn't remind you of something.

Alex gritted his teeth in anger and continued moving forward and soon saw some inmates trying to break inside Young's office. Ambrose shot explosive gel on the ground as it exploded, knocking all the hostiles out.

Alex managed to get the door to the office and saw no one here as he began examining the office until he noticed the safe was opened.

Alex: Someone opened the safe but the question is who opened it? [Looks around] No sign of forced entry. Whoever opened it knew the combination.

Alex looked at the computer and saw a security footage. He was watching the footage as he saw Penelope opening the safe and getting her notes as she ran away and the footage ended.

Alex: Good. Penelope got the notes and hid them somewhere. I can use the forensics scanner to scan her fingerprints and that will lead me to the hidden notes.

He used the scanner and scanned the fingerprint on the safe as Ambrose calibrated the scanner to find recent prints as the vigilante began following the trail.

Twenty minutes later, Alex made it to the library and saw the notes was hidden inside one of the books as he grabbed the book and found the notes.

Alex applied explosive gel on the notes and burnt them as he threw the destroyed notes away and heard Natasha speaking to him.

Natasha: [On Radio] Did you find the formula?

Alex: Yeah. I found it.

Natasha: [On Radio] Great, does that mean you stopped Joker?

Alex: It's never this simple with him.

Ambrose left the library and heard someone screaming. He began running towards the source of the sound and saw what happened.

Victor Zsasz grabbed Doctor Young and put a knife on her throat as he noticed Alex and said something to him.

Victor: Stay where you are, Batman! Listen to me carefully. Come any closer and I'll paint the room crimson with her blood.

He began dragging her away to the Warden's office as Joker laughed through the Intercom and Ambrose immediately followed Victor. He made it to the office and took cover as Zsasz still had Penelope and kept the knife on her throat as she was screaming for help.

Victor: I know you're still out there! Won't be long and you'll hear her final song!

Joker: [Via Intercom] Zsasz. . . . What are you talking about? Just kill her. She's useless to me now. I already got the formula.

Victor: But if I kill her. The Bat will get me.

Joker: [Via Intercom] Oh, you're not scared of a little bat, are you, Slicey?

Victor: Stay back, Batman! You don't want more blood on your hands, do you?

Joker: [Via Intercom] That's the spirit! Now stick it to her!

Victor: Hahaha! I will! I can see the veins in her neck throbbing. I can smell her sweat and tears as they run over her flesh!

Alex threw a batarang at Zsasz and it knocked him out as Penelope began punching Victor and Ambrose walked towards her and grabbed her hands as she began crying and looked at him.

Alex: He's not going anywhere. Your safe now.

Penelope: Sorry. . . . . I'm so sorry.

She wiped the tears off her face as Alex said something to her.

Alex: I saw Bane.

Penelope: I know. . . . . Joker threatened me! I wanted to stop the experiments. I even tried to give his money back to him.

Alex: Joker doesn't take no for an answer.

Penelope: He wants to create an army. An army capable of destroying Gotham and the world. I don't know how he got the formula.

Alex: So now he has Venom and your formula.

Penelope: He has gallons of this stuff. There is a lab hidden in the gardens but you need the Warden's security codes to get inside.

She began walking towards the safe and tried to open it as Alex said something to her.

Alex: What else is Joker planning?

Penelope: I don't know. He's crazy and-

Suddenly she saw confetti popping out of the safe as Young was shocked and Alex shouted at her to get out of the way but the safe exploded, killing Penelope and seeing Alex flying towards the ground.
