April 16 2015 [The Next Day]

Redwood Pharmaceuticals, centrally located in Gotham City focuses on pioneering treatments for neurological, psychiatric disorders including finding cures for certain diseases and virus. Founded with a mission to improve mental health care and many more. Redwood Pharmaceuticals operates from its modern research and development center on Gotham. The time was nine fifteen p.m. Inside the research labs of Redwood was filled with silence and darkness.

However the lights in the lab were automatically opened as silence continued to emit on the lab until. . . .

Ice began to form around the entire lab as the walls exploded and someone was standing on top on the iceberg as she began looking around the lab.

Louise Lincoln, better known as Killer Frost is a metahuman criminal and a former member of the Suicide Squad. She was embued with cryokinetic abilities which allowed her to commit several crimes.

Frost was hired by a unknown contractor into stealing a biological virus and in return give her money along with a safehouse that is far from Gotham.

She jumped down and began looking around the lab until Lincoln found a container and saw something written on it.

Frost: Liquid nitrogen. Do not touch.

She ripped open the container and picked up the virus which was doused in liquid nitrogen as she had a smile on her face and said something to herself.

Frost: [Smiles] Found it.

Frost was holding her hand as she gritted her teeth in anger and looked up as she saw Alex standing by the railing as he said something to her.

Alex: I was expecting someone with a little more flare.

He was referring to Firefly. Ever since Joker took over the Asylum, last year. Many villains and criminals escaped during the takeover. Some went into hiding while others began creating havoc around the city. Alex along with the police managed to apprehend some of the criminals and villains but there were still some that were on loose.

Two days ago, Firefly destroyed two pharmaceutical companies and even destroyed a fire station however he is yet to be captured by Alex and the police.

Frost: Such a chilling reception, Batman.

She continued firing the ice beam on Alex until he jumped off the railing and threw multiple flash grenades at Frost which stunned her as he landed on the ground.

Frost was angry as she couldn't see where the vigilante was at and began firing around the lab as Alex pulled out the grapple gun and grappled to the top as Lincoln was firing at him.

He continued swinging around the lab until Louise froze the rope as the cable snapped and Alex fell down on the ground.

Alex was holding his arm as he heard a sound as Ambrose turned around and saw a huge iceberg began to collapse as he immediately got up and ran away until. . . .

Alex was buried under the large block of ice as he was struggling to get up until he heard someone laughing at him. He saw Killer Frost walking towards him with a smile on her face as she said something to him.

Frost: [Smiles] How should I ice you, Batman?

She pulled out a heating rod and smiled at the vigilante as Louise said something to him.

Frost: Allow me to pick your frozen brain.

She continued walking towards him as Alex slowly got up and saw a large tank behind her as it said something on the tank.

Alex: Liquid Nitrogen.

He saw a batarang on the ground as the batman picked it up and threw it at Frost but she moved out of the way and the projectile hit the liquid nitrogen tank.

Frost: [Smiles] You missed.

Suddenly she heard a sound coming from the projectile as her eyes were widen until. . . .

Frost: Your gonna regret, Batman.

She was gonna break out until Ambrose threw a electric batarang at her as she was being electrocuted while screaming in pain until she was unconscious.

Alex slowly got up and looked around until the batwave alerted of him of another crime in progress. This time, a silent alarm was tripped at Powers Military Hanger. Ambrose contacted Gordon and immediately left the lab as he began making his way towards the hanger to stop the robbery.

Meanwhile at the hanger showed a group looking around as someone was speaking to them.

Stewart Carter Winthrop also known as Ghoul is a criminal who is heavily into techno-goth music and has adapted the horror look into his costume. Ghoul was never without his Halloween pumpkin which he kept filled with a number of monster-inspired weapons and tricks.

Chucko, real name Charles Buntz is a criminal who enjoys inflicting misery on others. True to his sadistic nature, Chucko's face was always hidden behind his mocking clown mask.

Twin sisters Delia Dennis and Deirdre Dennis are criminals who are known to robbing multiple stores and banks but instead of stealing valuables. They killed any civilians there for fun.

Ben "Bonk" Knox is the enforcer of the group. Known to be stealing just cards and cash from ATM. However tonight he just hit the payday.

The group called themselves the Jokerz after being inspired by the villain The Joker and Harley Quinn and since then commit terror and anarchy for their "hero".

Ghoul: Look for the satellite component. Imagine the payday we will hit if we sell this in the market.

Bonk and the twins began looking around until they noticed some quinjets inside the hanger as the group looked around until Chucko said something.

Chucko: Hey I found out!

He picked up the memory board which was inside the satellite as the team said something.

Ghoul: Okay, let's get out of here.

Alex: What's the rush?

They immediately looked around and saw Alex landing on the ground as he looked at them until Bonk was angry and rushed towards the vigilante but Alex punched him in the gut, before kicking him, sending him flying towards the twins.

Chucko pulled out a rifle and began firing at the vigilante but Alex did a somersault, dodging all the incoming attacks before he hit a running kick, sending him flying towards some crates.

Ghoul threw multiple bombs at him but Alex dodged the attack and hit a spinning heel kick on him as he followed it up with a uppercut, sending the leader flying towards the quinjet.

Alex saw the twins hugging each other as they were scared. Ambrose stared at them as Bonk tried to attack him from behind but Ambrose hit a judo throw on him.

However Delia used a taser and shocked Alex as he was in pain and immediately threw the taser away. Alex's HUD was glitching out until the twins hit a combo on the vigilante.

Bonk charged towards Alex and hit a shoulder block, sending the vigilante flying towards the crate as he was on the ground.

Chucko: Screw this! Let's get out of here.

Ghoul: Get inside the jet now!

The team immediately got inside the quinjet and started the aircraft as they began flying away. However Alex pulled out a grapple gun and shot it at the aircraft as he began flying with them.

Ambrose retracted the cable and made it on top of the quinjet as Ghoul was trying to shake him off but Ambrose used the claws to hold on as everyone was shouting at him.

Chucko: Knock it off!

Delia: Keep doing that dummy! And we're gonna crash!

Deirdre: Hold on Dee Dee. I'll handle that freak.

Deirdre opened the hatch and threw a wretch on Alex's head as he was holding his head in pain and saw his vision was blurry as Deirdre was taunting him.

Deirdre: Did someone get a Boo Boo? [Laughs]

She was gonna kick him but Alex hit a sacrifice toss, sending her flying off the aircraft as she was screaming in terror while free falling.

Alex was holding his head until he saw Deirdre was free falling until Ambrose used the grapple gun and shot a cable on Deirdre leg as he was holding the rope until Bonk kicked the batman to the rear of the jet.

Bonk began choking Alex until Ambrose kicked him back as the quinjet was flying out of control while Deirdre was holding onto the rope while a police helicopter was chasing them.

Ghoul: We're losing control!

Chucko: Ditch the jet! Maybe we can kill him with the crash.

Delia: But my sister!

Ghoul: We have parachutes, we can save her mid air.

The team nodded and grabbed the parachutes as Alex noticed the team jumping off the quinjet and activated the parachutes as Delia also saved her sister.

Bonk jumped to a rooftop and landed there safely as Alex saw the quinjet was gonna hit the building and then. . . .

The team along with bonk reunited with each other as they saw the explosion and said something.

Bonk: Yeah! Burn in hell! Bat-freak.

Dee Dee Twins: That was for what you did to our hero at the Asylum!

Ghoul: Well that's over. Come on let's get the hell out of here.

Chucko: I found a SUV. Let's steal it and get out of here.

The group nodded and got inside the SUV as they began driving away but unknown to them, Alex managed to survive the explosion as he slowly got up and hold his injured leg as he was in pain.

Alex noticed a sharpnel on his arm as he slowly removed it and grunted from the pain as he was breathing heavily until he jumped off the rooftop and began gliding towards the car.

The group were laughing at each other after a successful heist until Alex landed on the car which shocked them as Ambrose said something to them.

Alex: Last warning. Pull over.

Ghoul: Yeah, I don't think so.

He began shaking Alex off the car as Chucko and Bonk got on top of the car and were gonna fight him until someone fired a electric arrow on Bonk as he was screaming in pain until he was knocked out and Chucko saw who it was.

Kate: Heya Bats! Did you miss us?

Chucko was shocked and tried to attack her but Daniel hit a flying kick on him, sending Chucko flying towards the dumpster, knocking him out.

Daniel: And that's how you take out the trash.

Ghoul: What the hell!?!

Delia and Deirdre pulled out rifles and tried to shoot them from the rooftop but Yelena and Nathan grabbed them from the window and threw both of them towards a incoming car, knocking the twins out.

Ghoul was scared and drove even faster until Natasha grabbed him from the window and threw him out of the car as Nathan and Daniel used their super strength to stop the car.

The team heard police sirens as they left the scene and the police arrested the Jokerz and escorted them to a police truck.

Meanwhile the team were on the rooftop as they were talking to each other.

Nathan: That was a rough night for you.

Alex: I'm used to it. . . . . Is the scepter secured?

Yelena: Yeah we got it. Also Strucker was sent to prison for all the crimes he has committed.

Daniel: Although we did encounter some enhanced in the field.

Alex: Enhanced?

Natasha: HYDRA was experimenting on test subjects and those subjects got powers.

Kate: We encountered three of them but they all escaped the base.

Alex: Okay then. . . . . [On Radio] William, Marie. Look through the files of what Strucker had back at the research base and found out who they are. I'm heading to the batcave right now.

All he was greeted with was silence and static as Alex was confused and said something.

Alex: William? Marie? You there?

Kate: What's the matter?

Alex:. . . . I can't contact them.

Nathan: William, Marie, can you hear me?

William: [On Radio] I can hear you, loud and clear.

Daniel: Uhhh what? Can you hear me?

Marie: [On Radio] We can hear you.

Yelena: They're right here and they're alright too.

However they noticed Natasha was holding her laughter as Alex was staring at her and said something.

Alex: What's so funny?

Kate and Daniel noticed what Nat was laughing at as they were holding their laughter. Soon Yelena and Nathan couldn't hold it and began laughing as Alex was confused.

Alex: Why are you all laughing?

Suddenly he heard a sound from his mask as Alex realised what they were laughing at.

Alex: [Sighs] . . . . . . . F****** Jokerz.

Daniel: [Smiles] Language.

Alex stared at him as he lifted his hands up and laughed as they spoke to him.

Kate: [Laughs] Next time you swear, you have to put one hundred dollars in a jar.

Nathan: Ah man, I'm gonna fail this really quickly.

Yelena: Well you gotta be careful now, honey.

Daniel: [Laughs] Yeah. Anyways see ya tomorrow Bats.

The team immediately left the scene as Natasha and Alex were alone on the rooftop and she said something to him.

Natasha: [Smiles] Well let's take you back to the batcave and patch you up.

Alex sighed to himself and nodded as he called in the batwing and both of them got inside the aircraft and flew away but unknown to them, someone was watching them before they left the scene.
