Victor Fries was a brilliant cryogenicist and former GothCorp. employee whose beloved wife, Nora, was stricken with a fatal degenerative disease known as Huntington's Chorea. Fries placed Nora in a cryo chamber while he searched for a way to cure her, but Ferris Boyle, The CEO of GothCorp who funded his research and Nora's life pulled the plug, and triggered an accident that transformed Fries' body and must always be kept at absolute zero. At normal room temperature, he would die.

Now known as Mister Freeze, Victor wields a number of cryogenic weapons and protective armor in his quest to find a cure for his wife and avenge her fate.

Freeze was looking around the room as he didn't see Alex anywhere and continued looking around until he said something to the vigilante.

Freeze: Tell me Batman. Have ever seen a flower die? Watched something that was once so beautiful, so full of life, collapse and rot from within? That was my Nora. . . . . .

Freeze saw a snow globe which showed Nora who was a ballerina spinning around as snow fell from the globe. Victor felt sad and stared at the globe as he said something to Alex.

Freeze: She was my everything. . . . But this cruel world pulled us apart and destroyed us. . . . .

He continued looking around the room until Victor heard Alex speaking to him.

Alex: Victor, I'll help you save Nora. But you need to give me the cure. Innocent peoples lives are on the line.

Freeze: You care about this city like they care about you. You owe them nothing because in their eyes they'll forever know you as a monster instead of a hero.

Victor heard footsteps as he turned around and saw Alex standing in front of him as he said something to him.

Alex: Please Victor, Don't do this.

Freeze: Don't pretend to care, Batman. . . . You don't know my pain because you never lost someone you loved. . . . .

Alex: Victor. I don't want to fight you.

Freeze: But I will. . . . . .

Alex:. . . . . Is that your final answer?

Freeze: Yes. . . . . . You will have to die.

Freeze gritted his teeth in anger and slowly got up until he saw Alex throwing three explosive batarangs at him but Victor fired a ice beam on the projectiles.

Freeze: I can evolve my strategies. Can you?

Freeze fired an ice beam on the vigilante but Alex jumped up in the air and hit a flying kick, sending Victor flying towards the wall as he gritted his teeth in anger.

Freeze used the ice gun and shot it on the ground as multiple ice spikes began to form on the ground as Ambrose dodged the incoming attacks and grappled towards the gargoyle as Victor said something to him.

Freeze: Exercise will keep you warm for only so long.

The entire room was filled with snow and icicles as Freeze saw Alex jumping off the gargoyle and shot the grapple gun on the ceiling and began swinging. Victor fired an ice beam on the vigilante but Ambrose dodged the attack and kicked Freeze in the face before he followed it up with another attack.

Alex threw two taser discs at Freeze but Victor created a ice wall to block the projectiles.

He fired another ice beam on Alex but he jumped up in the air and began gliding as he tried to hit a glide kick on him but Victor created a ice wall, causing the vigilante to hit the wall before Freeze punched the wall and large ice blocks fell on the Batman.

Freeze: I learn from my mistakes, Batman.

Alex was in pain and managed to lift the ice blocks and threw it on the ground as he slowly got up until Freeze grabbed the vigilante and slammed him on the table.

Victor wasn't finished yet as he lifted him and threw towards the wall as Alex broke through the wall and was on the ground.

Alex slowly got up as he was feeling tired and saw Freeze walking towards him until Ambrose threw three smoke grenades at him and the entire room was filled with smoke.

Freeze saw the smoke fading away and he noticed Alex was gone as he said something to him.

Freeze: This world is mine, Batman. You cannot hide from me.

He continued looking for Alex as Freeze used the ice gun and fired three drones in the air as they began searching for the vigilante.

Freeze continued searching for the vigilante but couldn't find him as he continued moving forward until Ambrose bursted out of the grates and hit a spinning roundhouse kick, sending Victor flying towards the railing.

Alex hit a superman punch on Freeze as both of them broke through the railing and fell towards a table as both of them were in pain and slowly got up while staring at each other.

Alex saw the drones firing at him as he hit a leg sweep on Victor which stunned him before he threw three batarangs at the drones, destroying them.

However Freeze grabbed Alex and slammed him on the wall before he used the ice gun to create a ice wall and threw the vigilante towards the wall as Ambrose broke through ice wall and was on the ground.

Alex was feeling tired and slowly got up as Freeze tried to fire another ice beam on the vigilante but Ambrose jumped up in the air and hit a series of strikes on Victor.

Freeze stood back and fired another ice beam on the vigilante but Alex rolled out of the way and shoot the grapple gun on the gargoyle as he was running through the wall.

Victor fired another ice beam on the Batman but Ambrose dodged the attack and threw two explosive batarangs at Freeze but Victor blocked the incoming attacks.

Freeze fired multiple drones at the vigilante as the drones flew towards him and exploded but Ambrose managed to move out of the way and shot the grapple gun on the ground and tried to attack Victor but he blocked the attack and both of them continued fighting.

Alex grabbed Freeze and slammed him on the ground before he followed it up with a uppercut. Victor glared at the vigilante as Ambrose tried to kick him but Freeze grabbed his leg and tossed him towards the window as Ambrose was on the ground.

Alex tried to get up until Freeze kicked him in the gut and stomped on the vigilante's injured hand before he lifted the Batman up and slammed him on the wall once again before throwing him towards another window as the vigilante was in pain.

Freeze: Your death will be cold, Batman.

Alex slowly got up as he was holding his injuried hand and saw Freeze trying to punch him but Ambrose hit a sacrifice throw on Victor, sending him flying towards a window.

Freeze slowly got up and glared at the Batman until Ambrose threw two taser discs which stunned him before he hit a running kick, causing Freeze to go flying towards a wall as he broke through the wall and was on the ground.

Freeze slowly got up and saw Alex slowly walking towards him as he tried to attack him until. . . . .

Victor used the ice gun and fired a ice beam on the vigilante but Alex managed to block the attack.

Freeze was angry and continued firing the ice beam on the vigilante as Alex was blocking the attack and tried to get up as he began slowly walking towards Victor.

However Victor fired a powerful ice beam which send the vigilante flying towards the wall and he was encased in ice as Freeze was staring at him.

However Alex managed to activate a thermite pellet as he managed to break through the ice and was on his knees.

Alex was shivering and looked at Freeze who was walking towards him, however his vision was blurry and he felt tired. Ambrose slowly got up and began walking back as Victor said something to him.

Freeze: Getting slow, are we? That would be the hypothermia setting in. We both recognise the symptoms.

Freeze punched Alex as he was walking back and Victor continued speaking to him.

Freeze: Reaction time slows.

Freeze kicked Alex in the gut as Ambrose tried to punch him but Victor dodged the attack and punched the vigilante as he was walking back.

Freeze: Reflexes go sluggish

Alex heard someone calling his name as he looked behind Freeze and saw Evelyn standing as Freeze said something to Ambrose.

Freeze: Next comes the hallucinations.

Alex fell on his knees and his vision was blurry and heard Freeze speaking to him.

Freeze: Lack of consciousness and then. . . . Death.

Suddenly the vigilante saw multiple visions of his past as he saw a four year old Alex hiding behind a tree as his mother was looking for him and said something.

Evelyn: [Smiles] Where are you, Alex?

She smiled and saw him hiding behind a tree as she surprised him and both of them began laughing as she hugged him and said something.

Evelyn: [Smiles] Found you.

Alex smiled at his mother as Evelyn said something to him.

Evelyn: I have a surprise for you.

Alex looked at her as Evelyn gave him a pendant as he opened the pendant and saw a picture of his mother as he smiled at her and loved the gift. Evelyn smiled at him and said something to him.

Evelyn: If I'm not here. Remember this pendant will always remind you that I'm always here for you, watching you and giving you strength to overcome challenges.

Alex nodded and hugged his mother as Evelyn hugged him back while smiling until she said something to him.

Evelyn: Wake up, Alex. You need to save the city.

Alex opened his eyes and saw Freeze trying to shoot him with the ice gun until Ambrose activated the disruptor, causing Victor's gun to be disabled.

Freeze: What the?

Alex threw a explosive pellet at Victor and Freeze began walking up while Ambrose managed to get back on his feet.

Alex gritted his teeth in anger and hit a powerful uppercut on Freeze which sent him flying towards a table as he tried to get up until Ambrose lifted him on his shoulders and threw him towards another table.

Alex began punching Freeze multiple times as he continued hitting a series of strikes on him until he heard Joker laughing as the vigilante immediately stepped back and was holding his head.

Suddenly the laughter abruptly ended as blood fell through his nose and Alex's eyes were slowly turning bloodshot red. Ambrose began walking towards the safe as Freeze said something to him.

Freeze: Please. . . . . Find Nora. She's all I have left.

Alex walked towards the safe and opened it until he was shocked by what happened.

The last sample of the cure was gone and there was hole on the other side of the wall. Ambrose saw a card as he saw something written on the card.

GET WELL SOON HAHAHAHA

Freeze: It's over. That was all I could manufacture.

Alex: Harley Quinn took it.

Ambrose slammed the safe as Freeze said something to him.

Freeze: Then what are you waiting for? Go and get it back. The clown must pay for what he has done to us.

Alex: It's not that simple. Joker's got the Steel Mill locked down. . . . Getting in will not be easy.

Freeze noticed Alex was tired and he continued looking around until Victor said something to him.

Freeze: Perhaps I can help. I've been working on a new projectile system. Maybe these will provide the edge you need.

Victor opened another safe and had a device on his hand as he gave the device to Ambrose and he was looking at it.

Alex: I promise you, Victor, I will find Nora.

Freeze nodded as Ambrose left the building and was on the rooftop. He was gonna make his way towards the Steel Mill until he saw a news chopper flying in the air as Ambrose was staring at it until he heard a broadcast.

Vicki: [On Radio] My god, our mystery caller was correct. It looks like Batman himself is exiting the building.

Joker: [On Radio] Is he really? Hello, Gotham, it's me. I'm afraid Ms. Vale will soon be leaving the airwaves.

Suddenly a rocket was shot at the news chopper and the chopper began spinning out of control as Joker said something.

Joker: [On Radio] We apologize for this interruption.

Vicki: [On Radio] We've been hit! We're going down! Mayday! Mayday!

The broadcast ended as Alex needed to save Vicki Vale. He continued moving forward until he heard Vicki speaking on the radio.

Vicki: [On Radio] Hello? Gotham! I don't know if you can hear me, My news chopper has been shot down. We've crashed down somewhere in Arkham City. We need help! I am now stuck on part of the old Gotham Freeway in what looks like a battle between-

Suddenly a gunshot was heard as Vicki was shocked and took cover as she saw some inmates holding snipers and continued shooting at the chopper as Vicki said something.

Vicki: [On Radio] Oh God! There are snipers! They're all around my position. I can see the inmates surrounding us. Please, If anyone can hear me, send help! This is Vicki Vale. I repeat this is Vicki Vale. If you can hear this, help me!

Two inmates were aiming the sniper rifle at Vicki and the pilot until Ambrose threw two taser discs, knocking the hostiles out.

Another sniper spotted Alex and tried to shoot him until Ambrose hit a judo throw on the hostile and punched him in the face, knocking him out.

Vicki: [On Radio] It appears that the snipers covering my position are gone. The roof of the building has gone quiet. Either they've all left or someone has taken them out.

Alex took down four hostiles as he hit a spinning back kick to another hostile, knocking him out as he took down the last hostile by breaking his leg before hitting a tornado kick, knocking him out.

Alex made it to the destroyed chopper as Vicki and the pilot were shocked until Ambrose lifted both of them up and grappled towards the rooftop of a building as Vale said something to him.

Vicki: Any chance I could get an exclusive?

Alex: No.

Joker: [On Radio] Now, that's no way to talk to the reporter, Bats.

Alex heard Joker speaking on the radio as he said something to him.

Alex: What do you want?

Vicki: Who are you talking to?

Joker: [On Radio] Now see what you've done? The poor woman's all confused, Hardly surprising, I suppose. I mean, she's just been in a terrible accident.

Alex: That you caused.

Joker: [On Radio] How dare you! I've never been so, Oh what the hell? Yes, Okay, it was me. I just needed a little time to guarantee that Harley got back to me with my cure and don't worry, I may even save a little for you. It's unlikely, I know but I'm really your last hope now, aren’t I?

The transmission ended as Alex left the rooftop and began making his way towards the Steel Mill.
