"What,he threw you into a wall for God's sake,you really think I'm just gonna let that slide"

"THAT WAS MY FAULT"

"How?"

"I SAW HIM CRYING,PROBABLY FROM A NIGHTMARE,AND I GAVE HIM A BIG HUG"

"Wait so you were comforting him and he attacked you,that's even worse"

"NO! I JUST FORGOT THAT HE HATES PEOPLE TOUCHING HIM,EVEN A SMALL TAP ON THE SHOULDER FREAKS HIM OUT,AND I JUST WENT OUT AND FULL ON HUGGED HIM,NO WONDER HE PUSHED ME AWAY,IT WAS PROBABLY IN FEAR!"

"Oh..."

Ink had come over to underswap after he was done being sans-ta (pun game on point) to check on error,only to find him gone and blue angry at papyrus...

"Okay guys,calm down,what we need to focus on now is finding him"

"But where could he have gone?"

"I don't know,but I know somewhere he might be going soon..."

Errors POV:

Stupid

You are so stupid

You really thought for a second that someone excepted you

Nightmare betrayed you

Not his friend

Not strings

YOU

Not that it matters

He doesn't even know who you are

Error remained silent,this seemed to amuse the voices

Hahahaha

Finally given up huh?

Finally stopped fighting

Stopped talking

Stopped thinking

You are but an empty shell of your former self

By this point error just accepted the voices,they were right,after all,he was nobody anymore...

Timeskip to 1 week later:

The star sanses still hadn't seen error in a week,he hadn't even destroyed an au,they thought for sure that he'd go right back to destroying au's as soon as he got loose,but,no,where was he...

Error was sitting in the anti-void alone,as if his depression wasn't already overwhelming,he now just lay there,he had gotten to the point where he couldn't even be bothered to destroy au's anymore...

He opened up a small window-like portal to dreams castle,peeking through he spotted nightmare...

"S-strings? I know you probably can't hear me but...I really miss you...where did you go...do you hate me? I haven't seen you in so long,it's been ages,did I do something wrong,am I not good enough,are you in trouble,do you need help?"

"*sigh*"

"...I guess..."

"...what I trying to say is..."

"...I miss you..."

"...please come back..."

"..my..."

"...friend..."

Errors eyes began to prick with tears as drops of liquid sadness trickled town his cheeks,yet he couldn't seem to be able to move

"Heh..."

"...who am I kidding..."

"...who would want to friends with someone like..."

"...me..."

Error snapped

Jumping through the portal he jump hugged nightmare,glad that he had been wearing his hoodie and glasses at the time,he quickly shot his strings around his body,completing the outfit while still hugging his friend...

"Strings?"

"I'm so sorry nighty I just...I don't know..."

"STRINGS!"

Nightmare hugged back tightly,they both stood up and that's where the questions began...

"Where did you go"

"I can't tell you any details but it wasn't your fault and I'll try not to do it again"

"Okay..."

A silence broke out between them,but not an awkward one,a peaceful one,they hugged,both had silent tears streaming down their faces...

(Yes this story is ink x error not nightmare x error but I just wanted them to have a deep friendship so be patient)

"So...uh...wanna go play Mario kart?"

"Sure"

And then they played Mario kart...
