Nightmares POV:

I had been wondering around the castle unable to sleep,maybe a midnight snack will help,I thought to myself while making my way down to the castle kitchen

After entering the kitchen and walking over to the walk-in-pantry for some mini pretzels he heard the faint clattering of pots and pans,a curious little bean,he decided to investigate,opening the door to the pantry

"God damn fucking pots ugh"

Nightmare heard a glitchy voice from the back corner of the pantry and decided to speak up,hoping the voice was friendly

"H-hello?who's there!"

"Shit,um,I'm just,my name is,um"

Error knew that those idiots had undoubtedly told him all about error,but,he had never seen his face,hmmm

This thought caused an idea to pop into errors head,he stepped out of the shadows and greeted nightmare with a friendly smile

"Hi,I'm,uh,strings,yeah,strings,that's my name!who are you?"

Error obviously already knew who nightmare was,but his new persona 'strings' did not,and he needed to be as convincing as possible

"oh,i'm nightmare,why exactly are you here strings?"

"oh well,um,you see,i heard you couldn't sleep and were lonely,YES LONELY that's it so i'm here to be your friend!"

error gave a nervous smile,hoping the other skeleton wouldn't see through what he thought was an obvious lie

"r-really!i have never had a real friend before,I mean sure there's dream but he's my brother so it doesn't really count,then there's ink and blue-"

error cringed when he heard the creators name,that damn glitch

"-but they're not really MY friends,they just kind of hang around me because i'm dreams brother and they're his friends"

by this point error had kind of zoned out and only refocused when he realized nightmare had stopped talking

"oh,uh yeah totally,mhm but anyway,have you seen any dolls around here,i happened to have lost some and was hoping to get them back since I worked very hard on making them"

"oh well there were some very nice,well crafted dolls that I saw ink take to his room earlier,i could ask him to give them to you if you wa-""NOBODY CAN KNOW ABOUT ME"

"s-sorry but they cannot see me,you can tell them you have anew friend sure but don't tell them its me"

"why not"

"well,uh,because its a surprise,i happen to be someone they all know very well,yeah we have a long deep history,but I want it to be a surprise,got it"

"okay!wanna go hang out in my room?"

"uh sure,wanna see how I make the dolls?"

"yeah!"

and with that settled error went with his new 'friend' nightmare,back to his room,and they spent the rest of the night hanging out,telling puns,and playing video games,error even showed nightmare how to make his dolls and made one of him

error was adding the finishing touches on the nightmare doll while he was sleeping,the little skele had fallen asleep about an hour before,so by then the doll was only half finished,error finished the doll and wrote a note

to nightmare...
