SPEEDRUN TIME CAUSE AAAAAAA- I haven't been writing a lot of Rainbow Quest short-fics so- have this :'DD

Sabre sat on the dining table in the kitchen, sketching, again. After defeating Shadow and restored the balance, Sabre has been inside of his house most of his time. Mostly just to lay on his bed and sleep the day off or just sketch and eat. Sabre didn't feel like sleeping so he basically started drawing anything he could think of right now.

He stopped as he looked at what he randomly just draw. It was the earth, simple as that. He never really thought about it. Holding over to the pin on his left side of his chest, he unclipped it afterwards and looked at it. He didn't really think much about it, but aside the fact that it was the only gift he had before getting himself stuck in this world.

Sabre sighed, putting down the pin beside his papers. Sabre stood up as he yawned and turned, walking over to the stairs as he went up to his room. Guess he was going to sleep for another day. He flopped himself on his bed and turned around as his back was laying on the cushion. He looked up on the wooden roof above him, having thoughts on his mind before he started doozing of to sleep.

An hour has passed, and a knock on the front door was hear. " Sabre? Are you there or are you asleep again? " Time opened the door and peaked their head around a bit. No one was in the living room and kitchen, so he thought that Sabre was upstairs in his room asleep again. They sighed, entering the house as he closed the door behind him and walked over to the kitchen.

Time was still living with Sabre, knowing the Dark Steve's life was taken away after restoring the balance and Sabre was alone after Shadow betrayed him. There's nothing that Time could do other than to be there for Sabre, though, they were keeping their distance from each other as Sabre was still trying to cope on what happened.

Time placed a paper bag on the kitchen island, picking out the fruits they bought to store in for the month. They glanced over to the table and saw a piece of paper. With curiosity crossing over to their mind, they walked over to the table and stared at the paper for a bit.

It had a bunch of scribbles, mostly the ones that had a blue circle with some green parts in it.

" This... I feel like I've seen this before. " Time mumbled out, picking up the piece of paper as they stared at it. They looked over to the table a bit more, seeing a pin that they was familiar with. It was Sabre's, Time knew that it was his since he always saw it every time Sabre wore something simple.

That's when it hits them. Sabre has been wearing the same clothes over and over again from thee past months. He has some other clothes but the suit was always his pick. His clothes would sometimes have some patches on it whenever it was ripped after a battle. ' Man, Sabre really liked his attire that much.... '. That when it hits them again, this time, an idea came up to their mind.

Time quickly picked up the small pin and walked outside of the house, teleporting away as lightning strikes filled their ears. Sabre shot up awake from the sudden noise then looked around. " I'm home, I'm safe... " He mumbled out before flopping on to the bed again and slept.

As the lightning cooled down, Time opened opened their eyes as they were greeted with a small simple home in front of them. The soft breeze in the forest calmed them more as he walked over to the small porch. Taking a deep breath, they raised their hand over to the door to knock but it took them by surprise as the door opened on itself Green peeked his head out for a bit before pulling the door a bit more and revealed himself.

" Time! Well this is a bit sudden for a visit. " Green perked up as he looked up on the taller's face. Time still had his clock mask on so he couldn't tell if he was smiling or what not. Time sighed for a bit before greeting " Hello Green, may I come in? I wanted to ask you something. " Without any hesitation, Green walked out of the way as he lead Time in his house and walked in to the living room with them.

Green sat down on his own chair while Time sat on the tall couch " You said you wanted to ask me something? " Green asked as he crossed his legs and placed his hands on his lap, looking over to Time with a soft smile on his face. Time pulled out the paper and pin from his pocket and held it for a minute " I've heard that you became a tailor for the Steves in the Village and I wanted to ask you if you can, you know "

" Of course! Anything for a friend. " Green smiled as he stood up and walked over to Time, he scanned his type of clothing as he started to get simple ideas. " A brown coat looks great on you, and I'm pretty sure a golden sun color would match you as we- "

" Oh no no no, I don't need any type of new clothing. Well not for now at least. " Time cut off Green from the sense a bit, having a confused look on his face. " Oh? Then who needs a new type of design? " Green asked as he crossed his arms and looked at Time, they took a breath and started to speak up again. " Its for Sabre... "

Time explained on the type of clothing they wanted Sabre to wear. Something soft and a bit over-sized, something that can feel like he's comforted in a way. They wanted it be like a simple green hoodie since he remembered that Sabre told Time he liked the color of the nature around him. Green nodded from the explanation before speaking up again.

" I think I know what to do. " Green smiled, turning around but he still was facing at Time. " I think I have the right clothes for that, so it won't take a while- "

" Uhm, actually, there's something else I wanted to add. "

Time stood up and walked over to Green, handing over the piece of paper and pin they were holding on. Green Steve looked at the paper and stared at the circle, he felt confused of the drawing but when he looked at the pin he realized that it was Sabre's. " Sabre has been sketching this kind of symbol a lot while I was away, I don't know what it means but Sabre liked it. If you won't mind like, add something similar to this? " 

" Hmm, I'll see what I can do " Green smiled at Time " Again, it won't take a day so you can sit on the couch while I do my thing. "

With that said, Time  sat on the couch and Green went in to a different room and started sewing.

Sabre shoot up awake again from the sound of lightning in front of his house. He calmed himself as he ruffled his hair " I'm home. Shadow is gone. No more darkness. I'm fine... " He told himself before getting up from bed, and walked down the stairs. He didn't really think much of putting on his blindfold today since he wasn't expecting any visitors.

Once he flopped on the couch, a knock came to his surprise. He immediately stood up and wanted to run up to his room to get his signature cloth, but stopped as he breathed out as he saw Time walking in to the door and closed it from behind. Time was the only person who knows what Sabre's eyes looked like. Sky blue and emerald green eyes.

" Hey Sabre! " Time greeted as Sabre looked at him with a tired smile, but he greeted his friend along with a wave. Sabre noticed Time was holding a small gift box in front of them, with curiosity filled his mind he didn't hesitate to ask " What's that you got there Time? "

Time looked down at the box for a moment before looking back up to Sabre. They walked over to him and handed the gift to him, taking Sabre by surprise. " For you! " Time smiled as they handed the box to Sabre's hands, making him a bit confused for a moment for what he's giving.

" Time you know I never liked random gifts right? "

" I know, but this one is special. Plus Green helped a lot for this. "

Sabre looked at Time for a moment before the both of them walked over to the couch and sat. Sabre took a moment as he started to opened the box in front of him, pulling the ribbon first and opening the blue cardboard lid and placed it beside him. Sabre looked in the box for a moment and pulled it out.

It was a green hoodie. Sabre turned it around as he faced the front side of the outfit. It had black laces for the hood, each of the shoulders have something on them. The right side of the sleeve had a rainbow colored flag on it along with a white heart, while the left sleeve had a patch on it of the earth he doodled a while ago.

Sabre's eyes widened from the hoodie he held, stared at it for a couple of minutes. " Its not much really, I didn't want Green to over did it and I want it to keep it simple. If you don't like it I ca- " Time was immediately cut off from their words as Sabre instantly pulled him in a hug, burying his head on the Steve's shoulder and smiled.

" Thank you.... " Sabre said as his words were muffled on Time's shoulder, he still had the hoodie on his hands but he focused on hugging more. Time took a moment and smiled, hugging Sabre back as they felt the tears on his face were now staining their coat " You're welcome Sabre. "

After for a while, Sabre walked out of the house with his new style of attire. He wore the hoodie that Time gave to him along with some black jeans and brown boots with 2 belts on each. He had a sling bag with him with a green crystal like lock on it. He was wearing his blindfold now so he felt more safe as he walked out of the house.

Time smiled as they took Sabre's hand " To the Orange Kingdom " They said before lightning went of on their spot and they then went on their location.
