True Colours by empiresofwater is set in 1796 during the War of the First Coalition. The British have sent out a squadron to support their naval forces which are stretched out from the Cape of Good Hope to India and the East Indies. On the HMS Zephyr is an exiled French Marquis Aurelien who wants revenge. Along with Second Lieutenant Clarence Griffiths who is in peril due to the Captain spreading fear and picking his favourites along with dealing with the enemy.

I am already enjoying this story even though the prologue has only just been written. I can't wait to see how this relationship between the two main characters forms.

This story has just started and is currently ongoing. This story would be great for people who read historical fiction, Adventure, Age of Sail and GuyxGuy stories. This story isn't rated mature but it will have some violence.
