I zip up my hoodie,
Put the hood on,
I hear the rain pitter-patter,
I sit on the sidewalk,
Tilt my head towards the sky,

Close my eyes,
Feel the water run down my face like I'm crying,
I am,
Can't even explain why,
I just need to,

Don't want to get up,
People passing by,
But I don't care,
I'm just sitting right here,
As long as I need to,

The sky's crying for me,
Spilling all the tears I need to,
Dark blue,
Just how I feel,
But I feel lighter, better,

I see a rainbow,
The sky clears,
My eyes clear,
I stand up,
Ready to walk away.
