Do you ever feel like you're afloat,
Drifting in some never-ending ocean,
That drags you down,
You try to reach to the sun,
Praying that a rescue fleet is nearby,
Yet there's no Coast Guard for miles,
Stretching your fingers toward the warm light,
Trying to get somewhere,
Only drifting further from what's true,
Holding to the fragments of what's left,
But the waves drag you down,
Down,
Deep
Trenches,
Pulling
Currents,
Swirling
Waves,
As you're lost from sight for an eternity,
Groping for some connection to the surface,
Some familiar face,
Some desperate hope,
Some dream...
Lost forever,
