I love to read. I was the child who devoured every book in my school library, to the dismay of the librarians who could not keep up.

At some point in my childhood I picked up my fat 2B pencil and started to write stories of my own--to make friends, to win the heart of my crush, and to tell the story I couldn't find on the shelf of my library.

It's no stretch of my imagination to believe you love to read too, or why else would you put up with hundreds of Kotex ads to swipe up to the next chapter of your friends' stories?

This book is a tasters' menu of books that made me hungry to read and write more words, books that made me a better writer and arguably a better person. I'll include short teaser reviews, reading tips and links to my fave ambient soundtracks to read by.

I may even include books available here on Wattpad. This platform is a learning space, an opportunity for writers and readers to interact about a developing project. Almost everybody needs an editor--myself included! But once in a while something blazingly beautiful and unique emerges here and I'll overlook any number of misplaced commas for a brilliant story.

☆Reading Tip for our TikTok brains☆

Remove distractions.

Turn off your notifs and turn on some white noise. (I like Dumbledore's office!) Set a timer for 15-20 minutes, or however long is a 'stretch' reading goal for you. Your friends will still be there when you check in at the end of your chapter!
