Lisey is a kick ass protagonist and the wild, impossible world of 'Boo'ya Moon' is by turns terrifying and gorgeous. 'Tis true many of Stephen King's novels are too scary for me. I get hooked by his vivid, effortless writing and then have to pass the book to my husband half-way through to get him to tell me how it ends lol. This was one of King's books I tore through start to finish!

I am fascinated by King's writing process--he is incredibly prolific and has written every day for decades. Because he's so prolific his works can be hit and miss...but when Mr. King is on he is ON. No one writes an ordinary protagonist thrust into extraordinary, horrifying circumstances like he does. Look for more of my Stephen King recommends in the future!
