[6] Challenge 18 (Finale)

Last time on Radish Stars: The Final Chapter, the final three had to complete the most difficult Wattpad Scavenger Hunt of Radish's Kik Comps. Rebel and Thomas earned high scores, but Dark didn't get to send in all his answers because his mom confiscated his phone. Rip. Dark was eliminated. We have our two finalists: Rebel and Thomas. Who will be the champion of season 6? Find out right now, on Radish Stars: The Final Chapter!

~~~
Remaining Stars (2): Thomas, Rebel
~~~

Dark's last words:

"So im out, eh. Just what I expected. My journey ends here. Maybe? Or are there some opportunities waiting for me.. I doubt.

Dis is the last Tood's kik comp. Sad.
Idk why, but, this like made the two years of my life. Or waste.

Because of this comp, I found out there is app called Kik. I met friends and ofcourse, enemies. Eh, im not making a long sweet message af. I just did that last season. Too corny.

Oh btw, this season I made a new friend :0. hey Anna

Im gonna end this now, lol

Welp, Im rooting for you two, Rebel and Thomas!

Idk if im gonna delete my Kik app cuz it f****** occupies a lot of memory. I guess I should really keep on learning grammar for my book, lol.

Good luck, everyone,

Hey Rebel, thank you for the alliance, we are the real freaks on the show.

Adieu."

Gg, Dark.

It's time for the finale.

Both Thomas and Rebel did a public confessional before it began.

Thomas:

"I have a feeling of felicity because I am the most felicitous person to be in the finale of the final season of Radish's Kik Comps. However, I must say I do feel kinda guilty as I was in fact a floater this season. Rebel worked her butt off to get herself to the finale and she also worked her but off to bring me with her.  That being said, I too worked my butt off season 2-5 to get to the finale and i never did, hence me being the most felicitous person to be here right now.

Rebel, honestly, since I was a floater this season, I would have considered throwing the finale challenge for you to win. However, since 1) you've already won a season and 2) you most definitely would not want me to do that, I won't hold back when I face you in the finale. Mark my words, I will win this comp!"

Rebel:

"I worked my a** off this entire season. I get it's just a game, but it still means something to me to be able to win by myself with my own strategies and mind while for most of the comps I've just sat by and watched it happen, and for the only other time I was a contestant, my win wasn't even fair.
I've backstabbed, betrayed, tricked, felt worry at challenges, felt regret at eliminations... I've been the reason why many people were eliminated. And why thomas has been able to get here at the final two.
I've put too much time and effort into this. I made sure Thomas was here with me. But I will NOT let a floater beat me.
Bring it on, Thomas. Bring your best. But I've been holding back in the challenges this whole time.

I'm taking you down."

*dramatic music*

It was time for the finale to begin.

Since it's the last finale of Radish's Kik Comps, I decided to add most of the fallen Radish Stars, along with a few others like Naomi, Tech, and Aj. (Anna I didn't add you because the finale is at a bad time for you so it would just be spam). The past competitors were excited to be able to watch the finale.

The finale would consist of five sections: a mini version of each of the five previous finales. Whoever wins each section would earn a Finale Point. The finalist that earns 3 Finale Points would win Radish Stars: The Final Chapter.

Both Thomas and Rebel were nervous. But it was time to begin.

The finale of Radish's First Kik Competition was speed Minecraft trivia. This time, it was speed trivia on all five themes of the comps: Minecraft, School, Christmas, the United Nations, and Arcade. Whoever answered the question correctly first earned a point, and whoever had the most points at the end of the ten questions would earn a Finale Point.

The two of them were very close throughout the entire first section. In fact, we had to go to a tiebreaker question because the score ended with 5-5.

Here are the eleven questions used, with the answers in parentheses:

1. How many dye colors are in Minecraft? (16)

2. Who was the seventeenth President of the United States? (Andrew Johnson)

3. How many reindeer are mentioned in "Twas the Night Before Christmas"? (8)

4. How many countries are in the world? (195)

5. When year was the first video game invented? (1958)

6. What is Notch's real name? (Markus Alexej Persson)

7. What is 3 to the fifth power? (243)

8. What is Santa's real name? (Saint Nicholas)

9. What is the highest position of the United Nations? (Secretary-General)

10. What was the name of the candy video game in Wreck It Ralph? (Sugar Rush)

11. What was the original start date of Radish Stars: The Final Chapter? (October 13th, 2017)

This section was very chaotic, mostly because I didn't think through some of the questions and also said something that wasn't true at the beginning that messed Thomas up. But in the end, Rebel got the last question correct first, winning that section. Rebel earned a Finale Point.

The finale of Radish's School of Kik was the Finals Test, with questions on the elimination and challenge orders and other general questions about season 2. This version was also a test through Google Forms, but the questions were only on the elimination and challenge orders of season 6.

I unpublished the previous chapters of season 6 so the finalists couldn't use them, but they were still there for Rebel for some reason. Thomas was mad that she got to use them and he couldn't, but she still messed up.

I didn't give a time limit, but Rebel said she forgot that and rushed through it. Thomas finished the test a good ten minutes after her, but he said he was pretty sure he messed up.

He did indeed. He earned a score of 50/70, while Rebel got a 52/70 even while using the book.

So Rebel earned another Finale Point. That put her 2 Points above Thomas.

If you would like to take the finals test that Thomas and Rebel took, click the link in the message on my profile from December 24th/25th, 2017.

The finale of A Radish Christmas was Guess the Sentence. The finalists answered trivia questions and for each answer they got correct, they got a word. Once they had all the words, they had to unscramble them into a coherent sentence.

About two weeks ago (during the final four), I asked each of the fallen Radish Stars for a trivia question about themselves in the comps (except Dark, whose question I made myself because he was asleep and the finale was the next day). These 18 questions were the questions used in section 3's mini finale, and each correct answer earned the finalist a word. Yes, the sentence they had to guess had 18 words in it.

Here are the 18 questions, with the answers in parentheses:

Sky: "Who helped me get to the finale in season 5?" (Naomi)

Andrew: "How many of Radish's Kik Comps did I sign up for?" (2)

Leo: "What alliance did I belong to in season 3?" (New Age Hitlers)

Choco: "What monster did Alvin draw me as for our Halloween themed team art?" (ghoul)

Venn: "What challenge did my partner and I not complete in season 4?" (The flag challenge)

Glitch: "What was my finishing move in the finale of season 5?" (GigaBite)

Poke: "In season 5 I beat the record for most confessionals. How many did I do?" (40)

Chess: "In which seasons did I purposely get myself voted out?" (5 & 6)

Alvin: "Why was I eliminated in season 3?" (Glitch won and chose to eliminate him)

Cole: "What was my board game cover in season 5?" (Saive teh whailes)

Jimmie: "Was I a co-founder of the Axis Powers?" (yes)

Stab: "What challenge was I eliminated in season 4?" (Wattpad Scavenger Hunt)

Ry: "Who is the person I created Ly to keep an eye on in season 5?" (Cole)

Collin: "Who was my final two partner in season 4?" (Andrew)

JT: "How far did I make it as the last remaining veteran in season 3?" (5th place)

Kelsey: "What challenge of season 6 did I earn immunity?" (Creating a book cover)

Anna: "Who did I continue to defend when they were accused of doing wrong things?" (Todd)

Dark: "What was the one season I was voted off?" (5)

This section was definitely the most chaotic, probably because I planned it in like ten minutes. After about half an hour, I had to let some of the spectating competitors give hints, and I also gave a lot myself. Leo's question was especially difficult, and he eventually pasted an entire chapter of his perspective book into the chat so they could find the answer.

The sentence that the words earned created was:

"If you think about it, Rebel, Choco, Naomi, Leo, and Glitch aren't really winners because Todd always wins."

👉🏻( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)👉🏻

Thomas guessed the sentence correctly before Rebel had gotten all the words, earning himself a Finale Point. Rebel was just happy that that section was finally over.

At this point, it was almost 1am, and we still had two sections left to do. I agreed to wait until the next day to finish the finale. This also gave Thomas and Rebel a chance to think of their arguments for the next section: the debate.

~Next Day~

In the finale of The Radish Nations, the finalists had to debate on which of my Wattpad series was better. In this mini version, they had to debate on which season of Radish's Kik Comps was the best. Whoever's argument convinced me more would win that finalist a Finale Point.

If Rebel won the debate, she would win Radish Stars: The Final Chapter. If Thomas won the debate, we would move on to the fifth and final section of the finale.

I'm not gonna paste their actual debates here, but I'll say the gist of what happened.

Rebel got to argue first. She said that season 5 was the best. She argued that the finale was the most creative, and the other finales were boring compared to it. She also messaged some contestants from season 5–Collin, Venn, and during the debate, Glitch—and asked if they thought it was the most creative. All three said yes.

Thomas then got to dispute her claims before arguing that season 3 was best. He first pointed out that Rebel could have told the contestants to agree with her, then deleted those messages or left them out in the screenshots. He then went on to say that season 5's finale was actually the most stolen. He said I just copied a Pokémon Battle but created my own moves. He said in the finales of seasons 1-3, I had to use my brain to think of the trivia questions myself, making them more creative.

Then Thomas got to argue why season 3 was best. He started off with the finale, arguing that the finalists had to develop a strategy to answering the questions and unscrambling the sentence; while season 5's finale was strategy-less. He also said season 5 had way too many contestants (40), and season 3 had almost half of that (21), making it better. Lastly, he said that season 3 had the most drama, therefore being the best season.

It was Rebel's turn to refute. She started by saying that more contestants = more drama. The more contestants there are, the longer the time span, therefore the more creative challenges and ultimately more drama. She also used the evidence of the Radish Points/Rewards, arguing that these made the comp more dramatic than season 3. Lastly, she used points from Naomi's perspective book to argue there was more drama.

That was the end of the debate. About halfway through, I had to remove Venn and Naomi (and Kelsey because she kept trying to add them back) because they were stating their own opinions, which could help one finalist or the other. I added them back at the end of the debate.

After reviewing the finalists' arguments, I decided Thomas was more convincing. That meant he earned another Finale Point, bringing the score to 2-2. So the last section would be the tiebreaker. Whoever won that would win Radish Stars: The Final Chapter.

The finale of Radish's Kik Arcade was the center of a lot of the debate: the Pokémon battle. This time, it would be a shortened version. The two finalists started with 100HP and had 3 moves each. Whichever finalist dropped to 0HP first would lose, and the other finalist would win the Finale Point and season 6. There were also four curveballs thrown in by me during the battle.

Here are the moves:

Rebel:
Rebel's Revenge (3/3) (does 5 damage every turn for 3 turns)
Rebellion (10/10) (does 10 damage)
Sleeping In (3/3) (heals 15 HP)

Thomas:
Toxic Thomas (3/3) (does 5 damage every turn for 3 turns)
Tank (10/10) (does 10 damage)
Thomas the Train (3/3) (heals 15 HP)

I "hired" Glitch to keep track of the HP and Venn to keep track of the PP, but both of them did bad (especially because Venn kept changing the names of moves), and Thomas and Rebel were better at keeping track of everything.

I'm not going to paste the entire battle here, but it was very close the whole time. At first, Rebel was sure she would lose, but then Thomas was, but then Rebel was again, and so on.

Each curveball was related to one of the first four seasons. The first curveball I threw in was "Radish Rampage", which dealt 10 damage to the finalist of Roll's choice. Roll chose Thomas.

The second curveball used later on was "Recess", which healed 15HP of the finalist of Roll's choice. Roll chose Rebel, and Thomas was certain he would lose at this point.

Later, the third curveball was "Blizzard", which froze the contestant of Roll's choice for one turn, not letting them use a move. Roll chose Rebel, and Thomas was finally able to catch up a little.

The final curveball was pointless. It was "Peace Treaty", which swapped the HP of the two finalists. But, it was used when both finalists had 25HP left, so nothing happened.

Thomas had run out of PP on all of his moves except "Tank" earlier, so he was using that every turn. But, he ran out of PP on that move when Rebel had 10HP remaining, and couldn't do anything else. He was so close to defeating her, but Rebel still had moves.

Rebel ended the battle with Rebellion, bringing Thomas down to 0HP. Rebel won the battle and the last Finale Point.

Which means Rebel is the champion of Radish Stars: The Final Chapter!

Thomas was eliminated.

Thanks for participating, Thomas!

Thomas does not have any last words he wants to share.

Rebel was ecstatic that she had won fair and square, without rigging from me like in season 1. She stopped counting her win from season 1, and only counts this win from season 6 now.

Congratulations, Rebel!

Jesus 144 confessionals. I think that's the all time record.

Rebel's last words:

"First time I've had to write these, and it's only because the radish competitions are ending for good.

These competitions have been a wild ride for me.

When I first heard that Tood was going to create a Kik competition, I immediately signed up. I thought it would be so much fun and definitely a change of pace.

And it was really fun. I was able to make new friends and bond more with my old ones. And I ended up winning it. Granted, it was because two good friends threw it for me, but for a period of time it felt so good.

When Tood came up to me and asked me to be the cohost for the second competition, I was so intimidated and insecure. I was shocked he wanted me, ME, to help him create an incredible journey for people. I was extremely nervous about it at first...

But by the third Kik competition, I was feeling comfortable and cool. Heck, I even created the competition cover (which sucks imo).

When the fourth Kik competition came around, I chose to get away from the comps for a little bit. And honestly, I really regret it. I wish I had stayed for the fourth one. Especially since the theme was so cool.

In the fifth competition, I was really excited about all the fun challenges we could conjure up for the contestants. And when I was able to be host? Man, that was amazing. I had so much fun, despite having to do more work. If I could do it again, I would.

Then season six came around... and I was able to be a contestant again. A lot of stuff was running through my mind: Should I do it? Should I redeem myself? Do I dare face off with the best of the best? What if I'm not good anymore? What if this is a huge mistake?

When I agreed to participate as a contestant, I told myself "this'll just be for fun. Let's see how much drama you can make. Don't try to win"

But as I was playing... I just really felt like I needed to redeem myself. To show myself that I actually can do this. So I started caring more, and I started planning more.

So this competition I betrayed and backstabbed, and caused many eliminations. And for that I am sorry.

But MAAAAAAN IM SORRY I GOTTA SAY THIS

IT FEELS SO GOOD TO WIN

LIKE A HUGE AMOUNT OF STRESS AND REGRET AND DOUBT JUST LIFTED ITSELF FROM MY SHOULDERS

IDC IF ITS JUST A GAME

THANK YOU SO MUCH TOOD. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE COMPETITIONS. YOU MAY NOT THINK THEY'RE MUCH, BUT YOU CAUSED SO MANY FRIENDSHIPS AND SO MUCH GROWTH AND SO MUCH HAPPINESS

YOU'RE THE REAL WINNER HERE

*ahem*

I would also like to dedicate my victory to some people:

- Andrew: You were my first finale buddy. I'm sorry I couldn't keep you safe, but I avenged you.

- Collin: My longest and strongest finale buddy. I'm sorry I accidentally got you out. But I made sure that I made up for my mistake by winning.

- Tood: HAHA I WON EAT IT SUCKAAAA

- Thomas: At first you were a random contestant in season 6. Then an ally. Then an enemy. But as we were facing off in the finale, I was reminded that we are best friends no matter what, inside the comp and out. Despite all you didn't do in season 6, you deserve the win just as much as I do because of what you did before it.

And I think that's it.

This has been a heartwarming trip, both being a cohost and contestant. And it sucks to see the Radish Competitions end for me.

But when one journey ends, another one begins.

You really didn't think I'd be done with Kik competitions, did you?

Again, congratulations to Rocknrebel44 for winning my sixth and final Kik Competition! You should all follow her and read her books!

Elimination order and some important notes will be up later. Stay tuned!

Last season, I said it was the final season, but then hosted this one. That's not going to happen again. This really is the last season of Radish's Kik Comps.

But it's not the end of the Kik Comps. Did you miss competing in all of mine? There are plenty more going on, hosted by past contestants of mine and even some other people! imglitch123 is hosting his second season this spring! ThomasPaul61 is hosting a writing comp very soon! SirWattOfPad (Stab) and Poke are hosting one as we speak! (Not sure if they're hosting any others). Check out all their profiles to learn more!

And Rocknrebel44 is doing something according to her last words? I'm not sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What more do the competitors have in store for each other? Find out next time, on the Kik Comps!

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to vote, comment, and follow!
