Alastors pov

I woke up to an empty bed. That could only mean one thing. I headed downstairs to find my husband cooking us breakfast, something he rarely does since he had people to do that for him but it's always a nice surprise when he makes the effort.

I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around him "good morning my love" I kissed the top of his head.

"Morning Al" he reached up and stroked my hair, something I only allowed him and Marie to do "are you hungry?"

"Famished" I chuckled "mind if I have a taste?" I reached over him.

"Not until it's ready" he slapped my hand away "go wait in the living room with Marie"

"Alright" I sighed as I headed into the living room. Sitting at the table was my now teenage daughter Marie. Her hair had grown waist level and she must have got her height from me cause she's managed to outgrow both her mother and sister! She hasn't gone through any phase yet. Let's hope it stays that way!

Her ears twitched at the sound of my footsteps. She turned her head, giving me a big smile "morning daddy"

"Good morning darling" I kissed the top of her head "has your mother banished you to the living room too?"

"Yep" she laid her head against the table dramatically "it's downright cruel don't ya think?"

"Criminal" I ruffled her hair with a smile.

"Enough complaining you two" Lucifer placed the food down before taking his seat.

"Yes food!" She attacked her pancake stack while me and Lucifer watched in amusement.

Her head shot up at the sound of the doorbell "oh that's him!" She teleported to the door where Vox's son veneer was waiting "babe it's been so long since I've seen you"

"Well the TV business is quite demanding. I can't just take days off like you radio folk" he said teasingly.

"Oh don't start!" She slapped him playfully.

"Grrr" I growled as the boy shrunk down under my gaze. Out of everyone my daughter had to fall in love with why'd she have to choose his brat!

"Al stop glaring at the boy!" Lucifer scolded "you kids have fun and be responsible"

"Okay momma" Marie waved to us.

"Your dad is so creepy" veneer shuttered.

"Like your dad's any better" she bumped his shoulder playfully "now come on. Halo and Anna are waiting for us"

"Is your nephew going to be there again?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Little Vince is adorable and I won't hear any slander" she poked his cheek as they disappeared.

"I don't like that boy" I growled.

"I know but Marie does so you have to respect that" he said gently.

"If he breaks her heart I'll break his body" static crackled behind me.

"Yes you're the big scary father" he hugged my arm teasingly "now let's go have some tea on the balcony my big strong man"

I smiled as I let him drag me away. What a simple life I live but I wouldn't have it any other way..
