"Well that was a pleasant meal" I stood up with an approving nod "now I really must step out. I have an important meeting to attend" I got ready to leave when-

"She's all tuckered out" Lucifer picked up our sleeping daughter with a smile "would you help me take her to bed?"

"Of course" I nodded as I followed him down the hallways, opening the doors for him. Eventually we reached her bedroom. I opened the door for him as he headed inside, gently tucking marie in. She rolled over in her sleep, hugging her creepy red cat plush I bought for her close.

"She's so precious" Lucifer stroked her hair with a gentle smile that I've grown to love.

"now that being said Luci and Marie are important to me. So if you truly love him then act on it. Don't lead them on"

The sin of lust's words returned to me. Maybe he has a point. If I want him then I should take the chance. After all I've never shyed away from what I wanted before.

I took his hand, making him look up in surprise "how would you like to go on a date with me?"

"Eh?" His face turned red.

"I'm sure you sensed a certain chemistry between us" I leaned forward with a smile "how about we go out and see if anything comes of it"

"I guess it couldn't hurt plus it'd be nice to give Marie the family she wants" he muttered thoughtfully.

"Wonderful. I'll see you tomorrow then" with that I left.
