Charlie's pov

"Alright" I turned to Marie as soon as they left "what shall we do first?"

"Watch TV" she said firmly "daddy never lets me watch TV. He said it scrambles your brains"

"Well it's a good thing your daddy's not here" I winked at her as I scooped the giggling girl up. I flicked through the channels until we found something kid friendly (which is pretty difficult down here!). She bounced on my knee excitedly as her eyes were glued to the TV.

"I'm a rebel!" She giggled mischievously.

"You sure are sweetie" I kissed the top of her head with a smile. I still remember the day we first met..

*Flashback*

I paced back and forth anxiously as I listened to my dad's screaming. I hated seeing my loved ones in pain. I kept trying to tell myself that all this horrible pain would be worth it when I have a little sibling but it's not working!

"Charlie!" Vaggie took me by the shoulders "it's going to be okay honey. This is just part of the process"

"I know but it doesn't make it any better" I said tearfully.

"I know honey" she gently led me to one of the seats, holding me in her arms "I'll be over before you know it"

As if by magic the doctor came out "congratulations princess you have a little sister"

"A sister!" I sat up, my eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Let's go meet her" she wrapped her arm around me as we headed inside.

Dad was sitting on the hospital bed looking tired but happy. In his arms was my baby sister wrapped in a blanket.

"You did amazing dad" I gave him a gentle hug.

"Thanks honey" he gave me a tired smile "you wanna meet her?"

I nodded before looking down at her. She looked like a mix of dad and Alastor. She was the cutest baby I've ever seen!

"Isn't she beautiful" dad chuckled lightly "my little Marie"

"Hey Marie" I stroked her cheek "I'm your big sister. I'm going to protect you with my life. I promise sweetie" I kissed her forehead. I've never felt happier than I do right now.

*End of flashback*

I held her close with a smile. She's still the cutest little girl in the world. I hope dad's alright out there. I wonder what they're up to right now?
