Alastors pov

I knocked politely on the door of the palace. Some guards came up to inspect me. I was about to eradicate them when Lucifer poped his head out.

"It's alright guys. He's with me" Lucifer led me inside "jeez al would it kill you to give me a call beforehand?"

"I don't use frivolous technology" I shrugged.

"Grampa" he smirked as he lead me into a dinning room that was big enough to fit my entire house in. Sitting at the large table was Marie munching happily on some pancakes. She looked over at me and smiled.

"Hi mister. It's good to see you again" she waved at me. I waved back with a gentle smile. Could I really have created such a friendly child?

"Marie I wasn't being entirely honest yesterday" Lucifer bent down to her level "this man is your father"

"Father?" She tilted her head cutely.

"Yeah. He's your parent just like me except way less cool" I shot him a glare at his last comment.

"Well it's nice to meet you daddy. Will you have breakfast with us?" She asked politely.

"I would love that" my heart swelled when she called me daddy. What a feeling this is.

The three of us sat together eating breakfast. I would have preferred to eat a deer carcass but I had a feeling that Lucifer wouldn't approve of eating that in front of our child.

"Now marie I would like to get to know you better" I turned to her with a smile "could you tell me a little bit about yourself"

"Oh well my name's Marie and I'm this many years old" she held up five fingers "I like the colour red and pink, my favourite animals are duckies and I like jazz music"

"A jazz fan. You're a girl after my own heart" I booped her nose.

"You like jazz too" she gasped "mama says that it's old people's music"

"Well your mother never did have any taste" I said, earning a glare from the boy.

"Oh you should see my duckie pond" she jumped up excitedly as she grabbed me and Lucifers hands "come on daddy. You're going to love it"
