Alastors pov

I awoke to a small weight on my chest. Expecting it to be marie I smiled and reached out to stroke her hair but I didn't feel her deer ears. Feeling confused I looked down to see none other than Lucifer!

My face turned a deep shade of red. What is that halfwit doing on me!? If Marie saw us she'd never let this whole having to love each other thing go!

"Lucifer" I poked his cheek "wake up"

"Mmm five more minutes" he mumbled as he snuggled into my chest.

"Get up you moron!" I pinched his cheek.

"Ow!" He shot up angrily "what was that for-" he stopped when he saw what position we were in "ahhh!" He scrambled back, his face beat red.

"Mmm what's going on?" Marie rubbed the sleep out of her eyes.

"Nothing sweetie" Lucifer said quickly "it's breakfast time princess. You wanna have pancakes?"

"Yeah!" Her eyes lit up as her mother scooped her up, carrying her downstairs. I silently followed behind them.

*Time skip*

"That was delicious" Marie smiled as she finished her meal.

"Do you ever eat anything other than pancakes?" I shook my head in disapproval.

"Hey it's my house, my rules" Lucifer folded his arms.

"She's going to be diabetic by the time she's thirteen"

"Why you tacky piece of-"

"Daddy will you stay here?" Our fight was cut short by Marie's question "it was really fun last night. You should stay here forever!"

"Well the choice is up to your mother" I smiled casually.

"Why are you passing it to me!?" Lucifer whisper-yelled.

"Because it's your house" I whispered back.

"Oh please mama" Marie give him the puppy dog eyes.

He sighed "alright. I guess he can stay"

"Yay!" Marie jumped into my arms "we're going to be a real family!"

"I'm surprised you agreed to that" I leaned over and whispered to him.

"Don't get comfortable. I'm kicking you out when she turns eighteen" he sipped on his coffee.

"Fair enough" I shrugged. This arrangement is only to make marie happy after all.
