Chapter 2: The Force
Musa stared up at the large steel building, before closing his eyes and exhaling sharply.
He gripped tightly onto the small notebook in his hand as he finally gained the nerve to walk up the concrete steps and into the base of the people who worked to keep unity between the three ranks: the Force.
Everywhere that Musa looked inside of the building seemed to be a black or gray color, as the silver swirling of the Force glistened on every piece of furniture and walls. Even the floor seemed to hold the art, glowing like a spotlight had been shown on it as the sun streamed through the glass ceiling.
And other than the bored Beta sitting at the front desk, there were only a few others in the waiting area.
"Hey, Omega, what are you doing?" The ravenette immediately flinched as he was called out, before he tensed up as he finalized that he must've seemed pretty suspicious just staring at every detail in the room as soon as he had entered it.
"S-sorry." Musa stuttered out at the sight of the broad shouldered man who had walked up to him, radiating with the aura of an Alpha who should be respected. "I'm h-here to meet Agent Hazza, on request of Alpha Villegas." He explained in a frantic manner, unconsciously brushing his fingers against his collar as if making sure that it was still there. Just in case.
The manraised a dark eyebrow, before he sighed and ruffled his fingers through his spiked up hair. "So, you're the house pet that that Beta was talking about."
"E-eh?" Musa stared at the man owlishly, before blinking as he then had a hand inches from his face.
"Tyrone Hazza, I'm one of the officers here." The dark haired Alpha introduced himself. "Now come on, House Pet, we've got things to go over before I allow you to go out on the field." He stated, turning on his heel and walking past the front desk and towards a whole hallway full of metallic elevators.
"A-actually, it's...Musa..." Drifting off, the Omega groaned softly before he dashed after the taller male, attempting to keep up with his long strides.
The elevator went up five flights, before the duo walked out. Musa followed Tyrone as they weaved around maze-like hallways and dodged any other officer on the floor who seemed to be wanting to chat up a storm with whoever they locked eyes with.
In the few short minutes that Musa had been around the red eyed Alpha, he had noticed a couple of things about him. Tyrone Hazza was built to be a Force officer, shown just in the way that he held himself while he walked proved that to Musa. Also, very similarly to Musa, the Alpha didn't seem to want to meet the eyes of any other of his co-workers. But, Musa was sure that it was because the man was too proud to do that, rather than being fearful like the ravenette Omega.
Eventually the two had entered an office, Tyrone closing the door behind them as Musa curiously gazed around the square room. There were many black filing cabinets and tall bookshelves that decorated the gray painted walls, as well as a long red leather couch near the single window. There were also two red leather chairs positioned with a coffee table between them, stacks of files on it, and across from them was a mahogany desk cleared away except for a couple of books, files, and the resting head of a male who looked a little younger than Musa himself.
Tyrone let out a frustrated sigh as he walked past Musa, who stood in the center of the room on a dark gray circular rug that had the silver Force symbol, before he slammed his hands down on the desk and caused the young male to jump and fall backwards in the black chair he was sitting on.
"Ow..." Musa grimaced for the poor male when hearing his groan of pain, but felt as if this hadn't been the first time this had occurred. "Alpha Hazza, that hurt!" The male whined.
Tyrone crossed his arms, rolling his eyes in the process, before he locked his gaze on a still shaken Musa. "House Pet, this is my partner's son, Jax Balliol. He's a new recruit who'll be joining you out on the field as soon as he gets permission from the Chief." The Alpha explained.
"He'll be...protecting me?" Musa hesitantly questioned, watching the brown haired boy pick himself up and scowl at the older man while rubbing his head in pain.
"Of course. Beta Balliol might not look like much, because he isn't." Tyrone declared, ignoring the loud 'hey' that came from the brunet. "However, he is great with a gun and at self-defense. He'll be the perfect partner during this whole ordeal." He continued.
Musa hesitantly nodded his head, before following Tyrone's gesture for him to sit down.
Then the younger male sat in the leather seat beside him. "Hey, I'm sorry, that was a horrible way to start off, I've been up late with paper work. I'm Jax, it's nice to meet you." The male introduced himself with a calming expression that seemed to be on every Beta's face, which caused Musa to relax somewhat and shake the hand that was outstretched towards him.
"It's nice to meet you too, I'm Musa." The Omega introduced himself.
"Alright, House Pet," Tyrone began to speak once more, causing Musa to flinch. Had he not just heard him say what his real name was? Of course, not matter how nice the Alpha, it probably didn't really matter. "The only reason that we're allowing you to look over these files is because we owe Alpha Villegas for getting the needed news out to our citizens. However, anything that you see in these files that will not help with your story are to be kept to yourself, understand?" The dark haired Alpha questioned in a authoritative tone, causing a shudder to run up Musa's spine as he shakily nodded his head to show his agreement and lowering his eyes in a submissive manner.
Musa then glanced at Jax as the Beta got up and walked to one of the black cabinets in the room.
The brunet pressed his thumb to a glowing green scanner on the metallic storage, before opening a drawer and ushering for Musa to come to his side as he began to pull out folder after folder.
By the time Jax had finished stacking the files in Musa's arms, the collection very easily almost reached above his head.
"Are these all really necessary?" Musa wearily questioned as Jax led him back to sitting down in one of the chairs and took the files to put onto Tyrone's desk.
"You want to know what you're getting into, don't you?" Tyrone questioned with a raised eyebrow, Musa nodding immediately afterwards. "What we like to do here is get our agents prepared for the field and anything else. Unfortunately, we can't really get you...physically prepared, seeing as this is a major case, however, we want you to be mentally prepared for everything that you're going to see." He explained.
"That makes sense, I suppose." Musa murmured, cupping his chin between his thumb and index finger.
The two officers grinned slightly at the cute expression that the Omega wore, before Tyrone picked up seven of the stuffed files.
"Here is all of the information that you'll need to know concerning how the Three King Packs work. This includes each of their crimes, deaths, and the history of when they first popped up on our radar." The Alpha explained as Jax took the files and handed them to Musa who immediately began to flip through a couple of the pages of the first file. Everything seemed quite detailed, at least in the parts where the officers actually knew certain things, otherwise there were a bunch of blanks. There were also a couple of pictures, most of which caused the Omega to flinch at the sight of corpses. Some of which he assumed were corpses. "Now, as you know, out of the Three King Packs, the Canmore Pack has been a type of middle man. They seem to be out of the picture as much as they can, and only appear when one of the other two butt heads. However, as of recently, they have begun to cause more havoc. Our only guess about this is because of their newest leader." Once more, a file was handed over to Musa.
Like everything in the Force building, the file was a dark gray with the silver swirled symbol in the middle. However, the folder was also stamped at the top with a crimson colored that looked like a cursive 'C'. The symbol of the Canmore Pack, Musa realized as he opened the folder to see multiple sheets of forms with the pack members' pictures.
"Edward Canmore is the son of the past leader, Alan Canmore." Jax explained as Musa stared at the first image of a sketch of a male who seemed to be about the Beta's age, with long dark hair and a bored expression.
"Like most packs, as the leader Edward's an Alpha. We don't know much about him, other than he doesn't like the way that the past Canmore leaders had run things. He might be the one to start a war if he's not careful. Too young, if you ask me, but after his father had been caught and put into jail two years ago I suppose that the pack didn't have much of a choice but to have a new leader." Tyrone stated as he sat back in his chair, lighting a cigarette and placing it between his lips. "The members of the Canmore Pack treat their leaders like gods, and it'll be very rare to see Edward. So you'll probably have to look out more for his second."
"Brooklyn Barr." Jax pointed out the male on the next few pages.
"He's an Alpha too, and has the shortest criminal record in the whole pack. According to resources, he was taken into the pack after his parents were killed by a war between the other two King Packs, and because of that Brooklyn and Edward are really close." Tyrone said after exhaling a cloud of gray that resembled the color of the dark haired male in a photo of him walking down a street. "Watch out for him, House Pet, despite his handsome appearance he's a smart kid. Got a couple of diplomas from Nieves University, graduating at the top of his class for engineering and business." He warned.
Musa wearily nodded his head, placing the file down as two others were handed to him. This time the at the top was marked in white and was in the shape of what looked similar to a phoenix.
"The Windsor Pack." Tyrone said, lazily eyeing the Omega as he opened the files to find the similar forms of the pack members. "They're one of the most dangerous packs, and not just because they result to murder when things don't go their way." He solemnly stated as Musa felt a shudder run up his spine at the sight of the first picture of a man with white hair and one golden eye.
"That's Milan Windsor, thankfully we don't have to worry too much about him because his body was found a couple of months ago. Unfortunately for us, we'll have to deal with an inwards war between his two sons." Jax said, flipping to a different form that showed a nicely dressed male who looked to be about Musa's age, with a fair complexion, white-blond hair, and the same gold colored eyes. "That would be the oldest son, Rowan. He's a perfectionist who stays true to his heritage by killing anyone who won't allow him to get what he wants. He has taken on the role of leader from his father." He explained.
"On another hand, not much is known about his younger brother, Jurgen. It's a tradition for the Windsor Pack to send their sons to a program abroad at the age of thirteen, so Jurgen has been unaccounted for for the past seven years. But according to our resources, he had come back soon after Milan's murder and has different ideals than his brother." Tyrone told Musa in a tone that made the Omega feel on edge.
"The Windsor Pack, compared to the other two King Packs, relies heavily on being purebred Alphas. Which means that you'll definitely have to be on guard when around them. This will count as well when you're around the one Beta that they allowed in." The Alpha male then pointed out as Jax flipped a couple of pages in the second Windsor file to show Musa a passport photo of a tanned blond male with the brightest blue eyes. "The Force have had a couple of encounters with Tegan Hall. From what I've heard from co-workers is that he's brilliant at hand-to-hand combat and barely ever loses. He has a flighty type of personality, but I wouldn't trust any worm in a snake's den." He declared.
"Understood." Musa agreed.
"Now, House Pet, how much do you know about the Cross Pack?" Tyrone asked, putting out his cigarette in a glass dish before placing his elbows on his desk and crossing his hands as he placed his chin on top of them and stared at Musa.
"Um...Well...Maybe as much as anyone knows, sir." Musa admitted, sheepishly. "They're the rivals of the Windsor Pack because the Windsor's like to be flashy while the Cross's like to keep things out of the public eye, right?" He questioned.
"Yes, well, that is certainly one of their most major differences." Tyrone agreed, nodding his head. "Remember how I said that the Windsor Pack is full of purely Alphas?" He questioned, as Musa nodded immediately afterwards. "The Cross Pack is the exact opposite. They have a variety of Alphas, Betas, and even Omegas. That's why you'll both be joining this pack instead of the others." He pointed out as he handed the next file over to Jax, who then gave it to Musa.
The Omega glanced at the golden that marked the top of the file before he opened it, instantly greeted by the sight of a close-to blank sheet of paper.
"Like you had said, the Cross Pack likes to keep things under wraps. They're almost like a skilled spy unit, never seen, never heard. They take care of their dark business quietly. So we don't know much about their leader, other than that he is around the same age as the other two past leaders. Thankfully, we do have a good amount of information on the other members, since most of them used to be convicts." Tyrone declared.
"Except Kit Savage." Jax pointed out, crossing his arms and sitting back in his seat as Musa looked at a form similar to the leader's, except this at least had a photo of a young male with glasses and short curly hair. "I went to school with him in middle school. He was a popular guy, all the girls had a crush on him, but he only had his eyes for the princess."
"The princess?" Musa repeated, raising an eyebrow.
"Y/N Cross, the leader's daughter." Jax said, turning to the last page in the folder for Musa and pointing to the picture.
The picture was definitely a school ID photo, since the girl was wearing a school uniform. She looked young, possibly in high school, with long (H/C) hair and neon green eyes. She looked cute, innocent, not the type of person who would be raised around a bunch of convicts.
"She went under the alias of Y/N L/N when I went to school with her. Even then she was like some sort of princess." Jax sighed, ruffling his fingers through his hair.
"Wait, if you went to school with them, wouldn't that make issues for us? They'd recognize you, too, right?" Musa asked, looking concerned.
Jax's cheeks suddenly burned a bright hue as he glanced away from the Omega, scratching at his cheek as he cleared his throat. "Well, you see, I wasn't as popular as the both of them. I mostly just kept to my studies and stayed in the back of the class. Trust me, they won't recognize me." He assured.
Musa blinked, before he nodded his head. It might be a stupid move, but for this one rare time, he'd trust the Beta.
"Either way, I want you both to stay on alert throughout the whole time. All three packs have murdered before, and I'm sure getting rid of you two won't even be a second thought if they found out you were spying on what they were doing. You get in, get your information, then get out." Tyrone declared, as Jax nodded his head with a determined expression and Musa began to shake in his seat.
"Alpha Hazza!" A new voice caused the three to jump out of the serious tension that filled the room, before Tyrone huffed and pressed a button on the phone that sat on the edge of his desk.
"Yes, Beta Lynn?" He questioned, a hint of annoyance in his tone.
"There's been a sighting of the Windsor Pack and Cross Pack fighting at the Amberline Hotel. Chief Cortes told me to alert you immediately!" The woman said in an anxious tone on the other end.
Tyrone's eyes narrowed into a determined gaze, as he nodded his head despite the fact that the woman wouldn't be able to see. "Alright, we're on our way." He said, letting go of the button and grabbing the jacket on the back of his chair and putting it on. "Beta Balliol, finish up your work here so that you can help out the House Pet quicker. House Pet, you're coming with me." The Alpha ordered, beginning to walk towards the door.
"W-what? Me?!" Musa stuttered, pointing to himself as he quickly stood up in his shock and causing some of the folders to topple over and fall on the ground. Whoops.
"You can see what I'm talking about first hand." Tyrone's explanation was short and simple, before he walked out of the room.
"Go ahead, I can clean this up." Jax assured as he crouched onto the ground and began to pick up the papers. The Beta then paused and grinned at Musa's unsure expression. "Don't worry, I'll do my best to join you out on the field in a week. You're a strong Omega, so just wait for me, OK?" He said.
Musa nodded his head slowly, before he quickly ran after Tyrone in the direction that the elevator was at.
[Picture is of how I picture Tyrone.]
